Coming from one of the most technically advanced ski companies in the world, the Elan Amphibio 88 XTI Skis + ELX 12 Fusion Bindings are a tour de force of tech and one of the best "one ski quiver" choices you'll find this season. Designed as an all conditions weapon, the Amphibio 88 features an asymmetrical rocker profile with camber over the inside edges and rocker over the outside edges, giving you more power on your more heavily weighted downhill ski and easier turning/less hooking on the outside edges. There's a difference in the ski profiles at tip and tail as well - convex at the front for faster turn initiation and concave at the rear for power and acceleration as you finish the turn. The end result is an outstanding all mountain ride you'll have to experience to believe.

Amphibio 4D Profile – Amphibio offers the benefits of Rocker and Camber without compromise! The skis feature Left & Right construction where the inside edge has camber for full edge grip, while the outside edge has rocker for reduced edge grip that provides easy turning.
Shape
Dual Shaped XTi – Dual Shaped Titanal laminates are convex in front for better turn initiation and concave at the rear for a dynamic exit from the turn. The metal laminate is paired with a longitudinal carbon weave for response and smoothness.
Core
Response Frame Woodcore – Response Frame Woodcore is a unique and innovative tip-to-tail laminated core featuring a hardwood frame around a softer wood center.
Laminates
Dual Shaped XTi Laminates – Special light construction for high performance wide platform skis. One layer of Titanal enhances edge control while longitudinal carbon fibers provide responsiveness and smooth transition in turns which is needed in wider skis.
Sidewalls
RST Sidewalls – Tip to tail vertical sidewalls deliver optimum edge hold and power transfer.

Rocker/Camber Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
