About Burton

Burton needs no introduction. Founded by Jake Carpenter in Burlington, Vermont, in 1977, it’s the longest standing brand in snowboarding. They’ve been churning out boards, bags, boots, bindings, and more while constantly being ahead of the curve. They’re responsible for classic boards, like the Custom and they’ve also done a ton for the sport, from building parks to getting kids who wouldn’t otherwise have access on board. From backcountry pow to urban rail missions, Burton is snowboarding. Burton is the original, and they haven’t stopped trying. We stand by that.

At Craig’s, their Burlington R+D lab named after Craig Kelly, they’re constantly working on tweaking the technology, especially, the Family Tree Freeride line, like the evo Collective’s Kimmy Fasani inspired High Spirits board. All boards are now FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, so they’re focusing on sustainability.

Burton snowboard boots use New England ropes to power their Speed Zone and Boa systems. These are about as burly as it gets, and have a Lifetime Warranty to back it up. Burton also unveiled the X-Base Bindings, built using titanium and carbon for power and stability at a weight that will leave you bamboozled.

And they’re not slouching in the outerwear and accessories categories either. Their outerwear, packs, and gloves continues to deliver the best combination of style and ruggedness so you can stay look and feel your best on the mountain.
