The 10 Best Women's Snowboards of 2022-2023

By: Brittany Mellander: Assistant Snowboard Buyer | September 28, 2022

It’s that time of year when you need to start thinking about a new snowboard purchase. Whether it is your first board or fifth board, we have you covered with the best women’s snowboards of 2023. From Magne-Traction to Grip-Tech, Directional to Twin, or Camber to Rocker, dialing in the perfect options to cater to your riding style will complete the quiver and maximize your days on hill. Traditional camber provides you with the most stability with four main contact points and will be slightly less forgiving when you catch an edge. Rocker provides the most forgiving for slower speeds and playful turns, thanks to contact points that are lifted, preventing you from catching an edge but making it harder to hold an edge.

New This Year:

By using hybrid technology, all the top snowboard companies are creating women's snowboard profiles that combine the best benefits of each style, at all the correct points of contact, allowing for excelled performance all over the mountain, no matter your riding style.

Hi, I’m Tommy from evo, here to talk about the snowboards we’re most excited about for 2023. These days it’s nearly impossible to go completely wrong with a snowboard choice, but there are definitely some you don’t want to miss out on. From versatile all-rounders to more purpose-built tools, these are the boards that are getting the most buzz from riders here at evo. Let’s dive into our picks for the Best Snowboards of 2023! We’re starting this list off with a banger, the K2 Passport. This is an aggressive freeride board made for all the best lines on your mountain. It’s fully directional, with traditional camber for carving on groomers and holding on in those gnarly chutes, but it’s mellowed out by rocker at the nose so it floats really well when you hit pow. The core is light and poppy—with a 5 year warranty—with carbon inside and the fastest base K2 makes. Our big mountain freeriders are hyped on this thing! Our next board is another great all-rounder. Marie-France Roy has been pushing the limits of women’s riding for years, so it’s no surprise that her pro-model - the Arbor Veda Camber - is so great. As you might expect from a pro-model board, this one is a bit on the aggressive side, with a directional shape and plenty of pop from a traditional camber profile. It’s on the eco-friendly train too, with mellow resins and recycled steel edges, so you’ll be helping save the planet while demolishing the mountain. This is an awesome looking board for advanced riders looking to up their freeride game. The Salomon Highpath is another solid all-mountain board. This one is stiff and responsive for getting the most out of what you put into it. It’s also a high-speed charger, designed with a slight taper for maximum float and edge-to-edge quickness. We included this board not only because it rides well, but because it’s also built sustainably. Salomon uses all sorts of eco-friendly and recycled materials here, from beans in the topsheet to bamboo veneers and less toxic resins. We’re all about being earth friendly, so Salomon’s new focus on sustainability is awesome to see. The Highpath is right up our alley! The Super D.O.A. is a true twin freestyle board with a medium stiff flex. It comes with Capita’s “Resort V1” rocker profile, which blends flat, cambered, and rocker sections for a predictable ride. This year the board has been upgraded with Capita’s super lightweight 3D Thermo-polymer SuperCore and a Moonshot Omni-Tune performance stone grind for blazing speed. This board is really smooth and really well-built. It’s a great choice for intermediate to expert snowboarders riding in-bounds The Jones Dream Weaver is pretty much the perfect women’s freeride board. Being a Jones, you know it’s been put through the ringer and tested in all types of conditions. From its shape to its flex and camber profile: the Dream Weaver is directional all the way. You can definitely ride it switch if you want, and a spoon shape along the base helps mellow it out for cruisey park laps. The Jones Dream Weaver inspires confidence wherever you ride. The Salomon Abstract has park riders super excited. It features an awesome graphic that puts you in the mood before you even strap in. This gender-neutral board has a soft flex for butters and presses, along with Royal Rubber sidewall sections that absorb chatter and smooth things out. That means the Abstract is super comfy to ride and easy to set up for tricks. It’s truly a masterpiece for park riders of every shape and size. There you have it: six snowboards we’re hyped to carry for the upcoming season. We also have in-depth reviews on each of these boards, so be sure to check the links below. Visit us in-store, subscribe to our channel, and ask us any questions in the comments. Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you on the lift!

    Arbor Veda Camber Snowboard - Women's 2023

    Arbor Veda Camber

The Arbor Veda Camber Snowboard is an absolute ripper. This directional big mountain board was shaped by Marie-France Roy, and it's her ride of choice for lines of high consequence. It has a slightly tapered, setback shape that floats well in deeper snow, as well as long lines, a sturdy flex, and a full camber profile that generates plenty of power and response when you need it most. To finish it off, the board is made with Arbor's signature commitment to sustainability, featuring a plastic-free topsheet that highlights the beautiful and unique woodgrain patterns of the Cedar Powerply. Reliability is what you can expect from a traditional camber board like the Veda. This board also features Grip Tech, which extends contact points on the toes and the heels for better grip when transitioning into turns.

Stevi, Allocation Analyst: "The Veda is a fun and functional all mountain machine. If you are hoping to progress in the backcountry, or just make epic power laps and hard carving turns at the resort, the Veda will keep you feeling strong and secure in a range of conditions."

    Brittany Mellander

Hey everyone I’m the Assistant Snowboard Buyer here at evo! Like many in the industry, I've always been active. Growing up on the beaches of Southern California, skating and surfing were a part of my life, so when I picked a snow sport at the age of 8, snowboarding was a no-brainer! I always enjoyed boarding but really found my passion for it in college where I joined the ski & snowboard club spending most weekends and holidays going up to Big Bear and MT High. After college, I enjoyed the ski bum life for a year in Mammoth as a lift operator before an injury cut my time there short. Shortly after, I found myself with the opportunity to move up to Washington to be closer to the mountains and nature.

About 7 years ago when I first moved up here I knew with my background that working in a ski and snowboard shop was the right move. I was a snowboard sales associate at a shop for about 3 years before joining the evo Seattle store. There I helped train snowboard department new hires and honed my bootfitting skills. I most recently joined the snowboard buying team last October and love that I’ve landed a career in snowboarding and still have the opportunity to get plenty of days on the hill!
