Work at evo

OUR PURPOSE:

To make life better by building community & igniting the adventurous spirit that lives within us all.

People often ask why I started evo and when it began. I've always believed that the path of our business is intertwined with our personal journeys. In a sense, the inspiration for evo existed long before 2001. My Uncle Jack introduced me to skiing in grade school, paying for rentals and lift tickets when I couldn't afford them, and I've been doing everything I can to participate ever since. Selling gear as a little kid provided the means to buy lift tickets and access this amazing experience. For over 30 years now, evo really has been a story of one thing leading to another. From hustling to buy a lift ticket to eventually getting the chance to chase winters worldwide, evo has opened doors to a world of sport and culture that I could never have imagined. As we move ahead, our desire to share that same experience has never been stronger through our evo stores in the U.S. and Whistler, evo.com, Rhythm Japan (retail, coffee, and rentals), our evo Hotel in SLC, The Callaghan outside of Whistler, evoTrip, Rhythm Rides (instruction and guiding), and All Together Skateparks in Seattle and SLC.

We are endlessly thankful for your support. This amazing journey has provided opportunities for our 1,000+ global team members and enabled us to invest in our communities, volunteering tens of thousands of hours and providing millions of dollars in funding, focusing on organizations that work to get underserved kids into the outdoors, providing the same inspiration to them that it did me when I was a child.

Again, thank you all!

For evo, "success" can only be achieved when these three goals are in balance:

The Three Goals: evo's Formula for Success

1. Build an Iconic Brand and Business
While building a world-class brand and creating extraordinary customer experiences at every touch-point are paramount to our success, building a great business that operates at the highest financial levels is equally important. When we achieve this balance, everyone within evo's sphere will benefit.

 2. Create an Extraordinary Place and Path for Our Employees
evo is a family where we push each other to achieve at high levels and support each other in times of need. We also know how important it is for our team to have time for their passions, from powder days to family time to volunteering for the cause they care about most. Moreover, we want to make evo the very best place to work by crafting a compelling professional path and ensuring that each employee can participate in the financial upside as the company is successful. This is both the right thing to do and best for business.

 3. Leverage Our Success to Give Back; Working to Help and Empower Underserved Youth
Using business as a medium to help others will change the world. It is not just an opportunity but absolutely critical if we are going to move the world in the right direction. Having been in our DNA since the very beginning, evo strives to support youth-serving organizations with our time, financial resources, influence, and reach. This is integral to our success. In the coming years, we will work to ensure that the evo brand is synonymous with our community impact.

The Great 8: evo's Core Values

  1. EVOLUCION: There is a restlessness at the heart of evo. A belief that we can build a better way to do business—and then a better one after that. We take smart risks. We embrace the failures that lead to a better way. We are relentless in our intent to improve as individuals, and as the company we are building together.

  2. COMUNICACION: Communication is how we build strong, trusting relationships with each other, and with our partners, customers and communities. Respectful, transparent communication is not an option at evo—it is an obligation.

  3. RESPECT: Every member of the extended evo community—customers, partners, vendors, fellow employees—should feel respected, heard and valued. Every evo interaction should communicate respect for individuals, industries and the communities we live and play in.

  4. CREDIBILITY: Credibility comes from our passion for what we do, our service and expertise, and our welcoming, authentic approach to customers of all styles, abilities and interests.

  5. INVITATION: We create community-focused, customer experiences that are inviting and accessible. We open the doors to all people. And we share our passions and knowledge with humility and a genuine desire to help.

  6. BALANCED AMBITION: We are committed to balance—as a company, and as individuals. We balance our desire to be a growing, profitable business with the needs of our communities and a commitment to give back. We balance professional ambitions with our lives outside evo.

  7. LEADERSHIP: We are always seeking a better way of doing things and to lead the way. We lead by example, are not afraid to take risks and learn from our failures. We strive to be leaders as individuals and as a company to ultimately change things for the better.

  8. evoSTYLE: Style is our “special sauce” — that something extra we bring to every part of the business: from customer service, store design and product selection… to the way we treat our vendors… to our approach to giving back. evo Style is warm, thoughtful, engaging and delightfully unexpected.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Our Commitments

At evo, we're working to build and nurture a culture where equity, inclusivity, and compassion are inherent to how we operate and evolve. We recognize and value the uniqueness of each individual's experiences and understand the power in the diversity of ideas and opinions. Guided by our values and mission to promote more inclusive outdoor spaces, we're working to develop a team that is equally representative of the community we hope to build.

While there is more work to be done, we are in the process of evolving our toolset. We're committed to providing the space, support, and resources necessary for each individual to feel heard and valued. If you're interested in contributing your unique voice to our journey, we welcome you to apply!

We believe the outdoors are for all of us, that community should be inviting, that there is an adventurous spirit all human beings share. To be true to our Purpose, evo must prioritize Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Our commitments include:
