If you're looking for a light and fast boot that still has the power you want when snow conditions turn ugly or you're staring down the barrel of a 50˚ chute with consequences, the re-designed Scarpa F1 Alpine Touring Ski Boots should be at the top of your list. Built for most foot shapes, the F1s feature a relaxed 102 mm forefoot and a comfortable instep height, held together with a single buckle and super convenient BOA® closure at the midfoot. At 1230 grams in a 27.0, the F1 Alpine Touring Boots are right in step with the other top boots in their class. For 2017, the F1's lose the auto-locking cuff, replaced by a simple manual lever -- old-school but effective.

Shell Materials
Carbon Core Technology – A carbon insert that is over-injected into the shell to stiffen the boot and improve the transmission of power to the ski throughout the length of the boot shell.
X-Cage – The original textured X-shape design with a new shape has a constant thickness, allowing for a stiffer structure without adding weight, while reducing torsion on the longitudinal axis.

Buckles
FBC - Fast Buckle Closure – A single buckle and Velcro strap with a reference graphic guarantees a rapid and precise closure. The singe buckle allows you to switch between uphill and downhill mode using a single and unique setting.
Boa Closure System – The BOA closure system provides a custom fit for maximum comfort without pressure points. Each click is equivalent to 1 mm of regulation. Once adjusted and locked in position, the BOA closure system does not diminish its locking effect even after many hours of use.
Power Strap
Removable Strap – The 30 mm Velcro® strap closure provides the best wrapping on the Pebax Tongue. A backward hook strap-holder can be removed if necessary.
Sole
Scarpa Vibram® UFO Evo Sole – A prominent rubber heel and special lug profile are designed for maximum traction in all terrain, while the smooth rubber toe fits perfectly with tech bindings.
Compatible with Tech Bindings Only – Touring pivot is optimized at -6mm.
