StepChild Joe Sexton Pro Model Rocker Snowboard 2011: Joe Sexton is finally going pro and what better way to do it than to give him his own pro model. The shape and flex is designed and tested by Joe Dirt himself. The board is a twin shape with a 4mm reverse camber. The Joe Sexton pro model has a tip to tail poplar wood core with 24 stance inserts. If you’re looking for an affordable pro model that is endorsed and designed by a fresh new dirty pro then the Joe Sexton pro model is worth picking up.

This board is pressed to resemble the bottom of a rocking chair. The rocker gives the board an easy riding feel as it is “pre flexed” going into turns. It works well for parks, jibs and surprisingly well in powder. This board is a true twin with a centered stance and sidecut. The tip and tail are identical.
Construction and Core
As with all StepChild boards, this comes with the Armadillo Plate: a diamond shaped fiberglass reinforcement layer that is placed over the inserts.
Base
The base has a smooth “soft belt” finish that is pre waxed.
Sidewalls and Edges
This freestyle board has edges that were built to take a beating or two, durable enough for rails and jibs and versatile enough for fresh pow days.

Rocker A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot.
