StepChild Chi Borg Rocker Snowboard 2011: The StepChild Chi Borg Rocker Snowboard is a twin reverse camber freestyle board that truly rocks the mountain. It has a slightly blunter nose and tail shape and a tip to tail poplar wood core, and the low profile ramping on the nose and tail is great for avoiding the dreaded reverse camber flapping. The base has a smooth belt finish and 28 inserts to give you maximum stance options. In a world of expensive computers, wireless digital, robots and modern technology, the Chi Borg is one of the best-valued reverse camber snowboards on the market today. The StepChild Chi Borg Rocker Snowboard combines modern technology with an affordable price. That sounded pretty lame but who cares…
StepChild Flexometer: Medium
This board is pressed to resemble the bottom of a rocking chair. The rocker gives the board an easy riding feel as it is “pre flexed” going into turns. It works well for parks, jibs and surprisingly well in powder. This board is a true twin with a centered stance and sidecut. The tip and tail are identical.
As with all StepChild boards, this comes with the Armadillo Plate, a diamond shaped fiberglass reinforcement layer that is placed over the inserts.
The base has a smooth “soft belt base” finish that is pre waxed.
This freestyle board has edges that were built to take a beating or two, durable enough for rails and jibs and versatile enough for fresh pow days.
