Finding ski boots that balance performance, comfort, and convenience is the ultimate challenge. When I came across the Nordica Speedmachine 3 115 W BOA DD, I felt cautiously optimistic. The idea of Double BOA on a women’s all-mountain boot was intriguing—but, like many skeptics, I wasn’t sure how it would hold up... After putting them to the test on packed groomers to chopped-up powder there are definitely aspects where these boots deliver high-perfomance, but with one aspect I would alter.
The Double BOA system makes adjustments quick and hassle-free. Instead of dealing with multiple buckles - making sure each tension length is dialed to where I had it the day before, a simple twist secures the fit evenly. The dial mechanism is glove-friendly, which makes it especially convenient on cold mornings.
Over the past few years Nordica has worked to hone in their women's specific fit. Out of the box, the fit is quite comfortable with a solid heel hold once tightened in. The Double Boa makes customizing the shell tension incredibly easy. I was also pleasantly surprised at how responsive the boots were; I never felt like I was wasting energy pushing through turns. The one area I struggled with these boots was with their cushy liner. The liner is incredibly comfortable, but after a few days on the hill I found that I had to do some readjusting throughout the day as they had packed out a bit. All in though, these boots are a great choice for aggressive skiers who prioritize comfort and a women's specific fit.
If you have been a fan of Nordica in the past you will be familiar with the comfort and stability their boots bring. That technology has been redesigned into the Speedmachine 3 115 W BOA DD for a more technical fit, without any loss of comfort. The double BOA — or BOA® Dual-Dial Fit System — is the obvious major improvement that creates a balanced/uniform wrapping tension over your instep and calf.
The new 3D Cork Fit Liner with Primaloft is another marked improvement. With cork being strong, flexible and a natural insulator, this new liner keeps you warm, is super responsive, and is a easily customizable.
In Nordica's line up of women's alpine boots, the Speedmachine series is their powerhouse for all-mountain skiing. It has a little bit of everything making it a great option for women who want it all - comfort, aggressive flex for power, Gripwalk for off-mountain ease, and a lighter shell.

The redesigned Nordica Speedmachine 3 115 W BOA DD is a great choice for ladies looking for a customizable performance boot that provides all-day comfort. Out of the box, this boot can handle it all - ripping groomers, bumpy powdery bowls, steeps, and the park (full transparency - not a huge park girl but did take them for a spin in the kids park). Depending on how I was feeling and where I was skiing, being able to easily dial up and dial down my boot tension was easy and a game changer as someone who loosen buckles on every chair ride.
I ride a 25.5 and found the boot to be very similar to other all-mountain boots of the same size. I did not get the liner heat molded before skiing them, which is always highly recommended, but did put my custom inserts in and they fit the liner well. I typically ride a low volume boot - I have a narrow foot with high arches, skiing a boot with a 98mm last range - and would say that these are strongly a medium volume boot. The BOA Fit System in the forefoot area definitely makes volume customization a bit easier - going down for a lower volume and has some higher volume potential.
The Speedmachine 3 115 W BOA DD also has TriForce shell technology which was very cool to learn about as someone who spends a lot of time thinking about their form while skiing. The power transmission and control was immediately noticeable and can only be chalked up to the boot design and shell technology. I didn't notice that the boot was any lighter from the honey comb structure as compared to other all-mountain boots, but weight is not something I was hyper focused on for an all-mountain boot.
If you are someone looking for an "all day on the mountain, ski any area, women's specific, newest technology" boot, this is the boot for you!
• Double BOA is a game changer for ease and custom fit
• Out of the box feel is great
• Women's specific fit (last, volume, heel)
• On really cold days, releasing the upper BOA can be a challenge to pull off of the shell making it hard to get out of
• Heavier than my previous all-mountain boots
• Super plush liner has too much give for a 115 flex
The Nordica Speedmachine 3 115 W BOA DD is ideal for ladies who are looking for more comfort in a more aggressive flex. The double boa gives you the opportunity to fine tune your fit so if you are someone looking for ultimate customization this boot could be your glass slipper. Great for ripping groomers and you can take them into the steeps, just make sure you turn up the tension a bit for full energy transfer.
Nordica's Speedmachine 3 115 W BOA DD is a high-performing women’s ski boot designed for all-day comfort and versatility across varied terrain. It features the BOA Dual-Dial Fit System for easy tension adjustments and a customizable fit. The TriForce shell technology enhances power transmission and control. This boot is perfect for all-mountain skiers seeking a women-specific, tech-forward option that excels in comfort and adaptability.
