Product Info

What do you call a smooth and meticulous rider--one who assaults the sketchiest setups with precision, swag, and grace? An architect of the park--or better yet--a parkitect. Add in a rad graphic form one of the most timeless shows ever created and you've got the Burton South Parkitect Snowboard. The ride of choice for Burton's Zak Hale, the Parkitect features old-school camber and a medium-soft FSC™ Certified Super Fly® 800G core for a snappy ride with forgiving flex for tweaking tricks and buttering through features. Looking to take the Parkitect for a good ol' carve on piste? Off-Axis Frostbite Edges mean you'll enjoy rock solid edge hold when cruising at speed while a sintered base lends acceleration on the descent. Perfectly symmetrical for a sweetly balanced ride, the Burton South Parkitect Snowboard is a park engineer's dream.

Product Details

Rocker Type

CamberPowerful, poppy, and precise for a snappy suspension that offers continuous edge control from tip to tail.

Flex

Twin FlexHaving a twin flex indicates that your board is perfectly symmetrical in flexibility from tip to tail so you gain a more balanced and predictable ride.

Happy MediumA forgiving, user-friendly flex. Riders who use the entire mountain as their playground will benefit from this playful, versatile and damp flex.

Shape

TwinPerfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.

Core

FSC™ Certified Super Fly® 800G CoreLightened up and loaded with pop, Burton's dual-species wood core utilizes dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood/hardwood to reduce overall weight with no sacrifice in strength or performance.

Dualzone™ EGD™The wood grain is positioned perpendicularly along the toe and heel edges. Engineered Grain Direction provides you with consistent edge-hold and added strength.

Off-Axis SqueezeboxThis patent-pending technology improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable, and easier to manipulate.

Laminates

Triax™ FiberglassThis laminate gives the board an asymmetrical flex with lengthwise stiffness. The result is a board that remains smooth and stable.

Base

SinteredDurable and highly porous. Sintered bases add durability to the deck and have superior wax absorption making for fast ride.

Edges

Off-Axis Frostbite EdgesThe edges extend out slightly beneath your bindings for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Regardless of the conditions they make your ride easy, playful and always precise.

Additional Features

Infinite Ride™Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximum pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

Pro-Tip™A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility and easier spins.

Binding Compatibility

The Channel™Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable - The Channel™ gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major binding companies (not just Burton’s).
