The two decks can move freely thanks to the connecting elastomer pieces. The Atomic D2 VF 82 Skis feature the D2 Vario Flex that connects pieces between the upper and lower decks which adjust to the skiers speed, influencing the flex of the ski. The ski is extremely easy to control even at low speeds. As speed increases the ski reacts more dynamically. The D2 Vario Flex is the first ski in the world whose flex line automatically adapts to the relevant conditions, making it extremely agile in short turns and especially dynamic in long turns. The wider 82mm waist size delivers this performance for effortless off-piste skiing. The connecting pieces between the upper and lower decks adjust to the skier’s speed, influencing the flex of the ski: the ski is very easy to control even at low speeds. As the speed increases, the ski reacts more dynamically. This ski features progressively increasing flex and assists acceleration out of turns thanks to the desired ski rebound.
