A true twin shape with a lower volume tail for better float through the good stuff. Pretty clever if we do say so ourselves, but that's the Yes. TDF Snowboard for ya. With a modern camber profile, the TDF Snowboard provides an extra poppy and responsive ride on the hardpack without bringing along any of the edge-catching tendencies of traditional camber. Updated for 2016 with a poplar wood core and dual bamboo stringers, the Yes. TDF Snowboard is a cornerstone of Tadashi Fuse's captivating style.
Modern Camber – Classic power and response. Camber applies pressure on the tip and tail by preloading a board's contact surface, creating built-in pop, aggressive edge contact and a more responsive release from turns.
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 5 Stiff) – This snowboard has a stiff flex rating, indicating it will provide you with an aggressive, responsive and fast ride. Good for charging groomers, deep powder, slalom courses, and even jumps. Stiff snowboards won't wash out on you easily because they are responsive, have insane carving abilities, and remain stable.
True Twin – A true twin snowboard shape is ideal for riders who want to ride switch or play in the park. The nose and tail are identical and the flex is evenly distributed throughout the entirety of the board. True twins are perfectly symmetrical.
Directional Volume Twin / Radial – As the lines between freeride and freestyle continue to erase Yes. needed to address the need for guys committed to riding only twins but finding themselves in more pow. Nose and tail volume is hard to notice in hardpack unless you're nose/tail pressing, but in pow it affects floatation and you can feel it. This led to the simple idea of the Directional Volume Twin. Symmetrical flex, centered stance, identical widepoints of the board (therefore, NOT tapered), identical length shovel lengths but with a slightly lower volume tail.
Poplar + Bamboo – Creating a lighter, more responsive core than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the Poplar with Paulownia and then inserts two bamboo stringers down the full length for added pop and response.
Triax – Triax laminate consists of fiberglass that is braided in three directions. Meaning it gives the snowboard an asymmetrical flex with lengthwise stiffness. For you, this delivers a snowboard that has tons of pitch when jumping.
Sintered True – True Sintered bases are harder and more expensive than extruded bases and can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast. But to do that, it needs to be waxed and prepared for local conditions.
