Developed in conjunction with Silverton Mountain and tested in Colorado's rugged San Juan Mountains, The Ventures Storm Splitboard craves big lines and burly terrain. It’s chatter proof when bombing open steeps, but agile enough to navigate tight trees and narrow chutes without flinching. The Storm has a moderate taper and a softer nose to provide float in untouched powder fields, while a stiffer midsection and tail lend stability and control in unpredictable big mountain conditions. The surf inspired nose and rockered shape keep you from augering into the deep stuff. No wonder the splitboard version won Backcountry Magazine's 2010 Editor's Choice Award and the solid was named a Snowboarder Magazine "Best of Test" by Rocky Mountain retailers.
Flex 7 (1 soft – 11 stiff)
Triaxial Fiberglass: torsional stiffness is the key to good edge hold, especially on a rockered board. With fibers are aligned with the direction of torsional stress, triaxial fiberglass is the best material for the job.
Handmade FSC Core: by making its own poplar/ash composite cores, Venture produce lightweight boards without sacrificing durability, resilience, or performance. Poplar lends lightweight strength, while ash provides impact resistance and durability. Ash strips are incorporated at the edge and under the inserts, where impact and stress are greatest. Full length wood laminates - no finger joints and no off axis grains - ensure even an consistent flex from tip to tail, and a core that won't break down over time.
Sustainably Harvested Hardwoods
Flat between the bindings with a mellow uplift on the tip and tail, Venture’s rockered shapes offer increased maneuverability and floatation without sacrificing stability or edge hold. In other words, you get the surfy playful freedom between turns combined with solid edge hold when you are in the turn. As usual, the simplest solution is the best.
Quadratic Sidecut helps distribute pressure evenly on the snow, resulting in increased stability. It loads the board further from the waist than circular/radial sidecuts, enabling you to achieve smooth, solid turns.
The Odin features a full wrap steel edge on each board half.
Comes with the Voile hooks/clips - super tight alignment in ride mode translates into enhanced performance and that "solid board feel" Venture is known for.
P-Tex Sidewall is tough-as-nails material increases the life of the board so it can be ridden for several seasons without a loss in performance.
Durasurf sintered base means fewer gouges from rocks, and better wax absorption for a slick, fast ride. No other base material comes close to its speed without significantly sacrificing durability.
