Product Info

Roxy Ally BTX Banana Rocker Snowboard 2011: Steeped in the fundamental freedoms known only to all-mountain riders, the Roxy Ally BTX Banana Rocker Snowboard takes multi-talented Kjersti Buaas from the US Open slopestyle course (where she won gold!) to the Olympic superpipe and on to the big lines and backcountry kickers she has immortalized in film and photo. It’s a playful and flexy affair that facilitates supreme freestyle fun, featuring Mervin’s specialized Banana Technology for precision board-control and superb powder flotation. So…park? Pipe? Groomers? Savage Steeps? Kjersti slays it all – and on the Roxy Ally BTX Banana Rocker Snowboard you can too.

Product Details

Flex

4 (1 Soft-10 Stiff) This softer flex is ideal for beginner riders while the directional twin shape is made for the progressing all mountain rider. With directional twin, between each contact point the board measures a true twin. However, the nose above the contact point is slightly higher and longer than the tail. This allows the board to float in powder or choppy snow and still confidently ride regular and switch.

Construction and Core

The Light Alloy Core is 10% lighter, utilizing the new Engineered Alloy Plantation timber core.

Shape

Directional twin

Proving itself year after year in magazine board tests, Banana Technology replaces camber with reverse camber between your feet, and from the feet to the tips, flat camber. The board’s rockered mid section, a natural turning arc, flattens out under the rider’s weight providing full nose to tail edge contact. This puts control where it should be, directly underfoot. The flex pattern includes a slightly stiffer nose and tail for stable landings, increased pop, and floatability in deep powder. Magnetraction integrates with Banana Technology to boost edge hold in all conditions. The result? A fun and playful board that’s confident on hardpack and ice. It slays powder, handles rails and boxes with ease, and maintains liveliness run after run.

Base

The TNT base is a secret formula dual-layered fluoro base material that’s super fast and durable.
