Your body isn't symmetric toe to heel, so why should your snowboard be? Basic ergonomics has been applied to the 2015 Ride Helix Snowboard for a unique asymmetric board. This asymmetric twin features a deeper sidecut on the heel edge to make board control a breeze. It doesn't matter if you're regular or goofy because this hybrid twin is ready to rip either direction with its designated heelside edge. Hop on this aggressive, poppy deck and embrace the Helix's progressive board design.
Hybrid Twin – The twin shape features micro-rocker in the tip and tail and a level micro-camber zone between the feet.
Feel-O-Meter: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – This is a medium flex designed for all-mountain freestyle riding. Ride's Feel-O-Meter rating is adjusted year to year to align with current industry standards. A board unchanged from last year may receive a new feel number this year if the industry scale shifts.
Asymmetric – Featured on the Helix Hybrid Twin, the asymmetric sidecut and board profile makes heelside control a breeze. Offering perfect balance in the turn with different radii for the heel and toe sides, the board just feels right!
Pop Rods® 2.0 Core – Ride's Pop Rods® give already fun and playful boards the added liveliness to set them apart from the competition. Using strategic placement in the boards tip and/or tail, this technology adds pop without stiffness generally, associated with snappy boards. Made up of flat carbon rods that wrap a urethane slime-core, Pop Rods® have carbon for massive pop and a slime-core to smooth out the landing.
Carbon Array 3™ – This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. 3 widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.
Hybrid Glass – Triaxial on top, biaxial on base, balanced torsion and stiffness for better response with speed.
Slimewalls® Sidewall – Ride's exclusive Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls® smooths the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may Ride on. On top of all that, these babies are the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding and virtually indestructible.
Fusion 4000™ Base – The sintered base makes for a durable and fast ride.
Die-Cut Base – Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
