Like a piranha hungry for pow, the Burton Family Tree Mod Fish Snowboard won't rest until it's fed. A backcountry board that is loose and playful, with a tapered Pro-Tip™ nose that will keep you afloat. Plus, the Directional Flat Top profile creates a stable platform for turning with plenty of pop coming from the tail. Do you love ripping through the trees? Then you'll be glad to know that the Mod Fish's core is made from FSC™ Certified wood. If you spend equal time in the backcountry as the resort, Burton made the Family Tree Mod Fish Snowboard just for you. *This is a factory blem board that may have slight cosmetic damage.*
Directional Flat Top – A flat baseline from the tail that expands just outside your front binding. This provides ample stability and control due to a greater surface area contacting the snow. The dominant flat area meets a rockered nose giving you the playfulness and float you need to surf deep days.
Directional Flex – This flex features increased pop in the tail and a resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.
Medium-Soft – A forgiving, user-friendly flex. Riders who use the entire mountain as their playground will benefit from this playful, versatile and damp flex.
Directional – Directional is the original snowboard shape. It is designed with a slightly longer nose, to concentrate the pop in the tail. This board will give you plenty of floatation, fluidity, and control to rip.
Pro Tip™ – A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
FSC™ Certified Super Fly ll™ 700G Core – Strong and lightweight woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength and reduce weight. FSC™ certification ensures that the wood products are harvested from well-managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
Dualzone™ EDG™ – The wood grain is positioned perpendicularly along the toe and heel edges. Engineered Grain Direction provides you with consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Triax™ Fiberglass – This laminate gives the board an asymmetrical flex with lengthwise stiffness. The result is a board that remains smooth and stable.
Sintered WFO – Burton infused specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material. The result is an ultra-durable base that stays fast and furious all season in any conditions.
Infinite Ride™ – Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximum pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
The Channel™ – Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable - The Channel™ gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major binding companies (not just Burton’s).
