Baseplate
V-Rod Ultralight Baseplate – Rome combines edge-to-edge power with side-to-side flexibility and improved board flex by reducing the material in contact with your snowboard.
AsymWrap Technology – The flex comes before the pop in this platform. With three points of heel hoop connection and Rome's UnderWrap concept at a single point on the medial side of the toe, the AsymWrap platform focuses on a smooth, flexible feel. This technology is for riders who like to surf freeride terrain and folks who like to tweak and play on freestyle features.
D30-Powered V-Rod SubBase Pad – D30 technology under the baseplate offers the highest level of impact absorption. Compared to standard EVA, D30 absorbs 30% more impact, resulting in a premium dampening for biger drops and flatter landings.
Highback
Cant-In-The-Back II Technology – This technology offers detailed points of customization for those riders who want to optimize performance like you would by tuning the engine of a sports car. Since the angle of your lower leg changes with the width of your stance, Rome lets riders adjust highback canting to keep the highback in seamless contact with the back of your boot.
Asym Katana Highback – This highback is perfect for the average size of women riders, featuring added coring with more structure on the lateral side for the right blend of lightness and supportive response.
Straps
PivotMount Max Technology – Just loosen a screw and snap the PivotMount's arm into different position arrangements to control whether you have a flexible, mid-range, or powerful toeside performance profile.
Ultralight Ankle Strap – Enjoy superlight mid-range support thanks to a combination of an injected EVA pad and an interlocking TPU band down the middle of the strap. The result is a super comfortable, mid-flexing ankle strap.
ConformGrip 2.0 Toe Strap – The OpenForm toe strap is engineered to self-adjust to the toe of any boot model. By using a minimalist design approach, Rome reduces weight while delivering performance-oriented foot control.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
