Incredibly light and amazingly capable at that weight, the Movement Alp Tracks 95 LTD Skis are a primo pick for long tours, multi-day traverses, and spring and summer touring where chances of powder sightings are slim. As usual with the Alp Tracks line, the 95 LTD stands at or near the limit of the lightness scale, coming in at 1160 grams per ski in the 169, but even at that weight the ski shows power and stability on the descent. A perfect choice for sustained days when light weight is a priority but you need to be able to ski safely back to the car in any kind of snow.
Twin Rocker Profile – Camber underfoot with a sustained tip rocker and short tail rocker
FCS and PEFC Certified Karuba Core
5 Axes Carbon – Minimizes weight and improves performance in all types of snow. Carbon fiber running in multiple axes produces a more torsionally rigid structure for better edge control.
ASA Shock Absorber – Shock deadening laminate made of ABS plastic
Double Plate Reinforcement – A two layer system - one of fiberglass, one of Titanal - guarantees the security of the binding mount area.
Unidirectional Carbon – A layer of unidirectional carbon is used in addition to the 5 axes laminate to stiffen the ski longitudinally without making it hooky.
Micro Sidewall Construction – Cap at the tip and tail with a short ABS sidewall underfoot
P-Tex 5000 – Die-cut graphic elements, precision tuned using state-of-the-art Montana machinery
Touring Edge – Movement's thinnest and lightest edge
Handmade in Movement's Own Factory – Movement purchased the AST factory (formerly Tua) in Tunisia in 2005, and has made steady improvements in engineering and quality control since. This makes possible a level of quality control only achievable when quantities are limited and the factory is under the direct control of the product managers.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
