Big-mountain fun

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

The new Influence 115 has an updated shape similar to the Mr. Pollard's Opus. I love the Opus for a playful powder ski, so throw in some metal and you have a hard-charging big-mountain version for much more stability at high speeds. Compared to the original Influence 115, the 2013 model has early taper and some tail rocker. I still charges from steeps, to chunder, to ice, but is not afraid to slash surfy turns. The tail rocker lets you turn this ski on a dime on a stiff ski without any worry of washing out.

New Influence

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

The Influence 115 got a slight upgrade. Billed as Lines big mountain ski first gen 115 had camber through the tail and a slightly different shape. With the success of the Opus from this season Line took the design ideas of that ski and applied it to the Influence. With contacts points move in on the ski and addition of mellow tail rocker, it is a lot more forgiving. The tips hook less and the turn shape can be varied a bit more. I like this because previously I felt like it only wanted to make big turns. The 2013 Influence 115 can charge hard now but its a lot easier to shut down speed than in previous years. If you like the playfulness of the Opus but want something a bit more stable for high speed variable terrain here is your answer.

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

These skis are incredible. I'm 6-0 and 200, bought the 186 after skiing on a 177 Mantra for 4 years and the 115s are better in every situation and snow condition. They feel very stable and planted, carve good on the groomers and hard pack and float and turn in the deep very well. The rocker is low enough that there is no flop or chatter but enough to keep you on top of the deep. A one ski quiver for sure.

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

I have been waiting to do a review until I skied this ski in good conditions and I finally was able to get some with the Influence 115. The mountain had about 15 inches new snow over the last 2 days and 8 inches from the night before. This is very easy ski, never sank at all even on flat ground at slow speeds. Very easy to make long big turns and just as easy to shut down and make quick turns. It Railed on the groomers, handled the crud with ease, didnt crush the crud but was A LOT of fun through it(I like to pop up in the crud) and lastly it floated like a DREAM. Stiffer than the Opus but definitally not a Crazy stiff 2x4. Still had lots of flex and pop in and out of turns. Couldnt ask for anything better for me. I bought these without a demo and couldnt be happier. This is a great one ski quiver for me and for someone looking for a ski that has a backbone but still just tons and tons of fun.

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

I'm 5'11" and 185lbs. I demo-ed these skis (longer size) for several runs and was loving 'em. Out of 7 pair of skis I went through these were by far the most stable. They mowed over everything I but in their way and loved loved loved high speeds. Turning is not their specialty. I took them through a tree run and was a little overwhelmed. That said, if you like a stiff powerful ski that will are stable as a tank, this is your choice.

Comments about Line Skis Influence 115 Skis 2013:

With about 3" of fresh and crust underneath, the Influence was a nice balance both for flaoting and carving. Having become used to full rockered skis I had to work a lot more for each turn, but still did what I wanted and was fun.

I was coming from old school Rossi Bandits. Thought I was wearing waterskis...to me very big...was nervous...but they ski great. Quick turning but very stable. Have only skied them one day but in a variety of terrain...trees, groom, bumps, and they were great. The line in the bumps cant be too tight but they were not bad. Solid all mtn ski.

I have the 193s mounted up with Marker Barons. Best resort ski I have ever been on. Good stability at high speeds. Really inspire confidence in variable conditions. Will be perfect for steep backcountry lines in the spring, but for mid winter BC skiing I will be sticking with a more dedicated pow ski (K2 Darksides). As with any stiffer ski, the Influences can tip dive in real deep snow in lower angle terrain.

Fianlly Busted these out at Baker last week. They kicked but in the powder. They are not as forgiving as my Patrons, But if you get over the front they will do just what you want. They are a bit heavy and sluggish on groomers. Great ski for the quiver!

Only made one run before the ski lifts opened for the season. Six inches of light powder over machine packed snow. The ski was great and really wanted to go fast. Where the base was not packed, the snow had no structure - rotten to the ground. Even there, the ski would float - mostly. I think the ski will be very versatile, and never leave me wishing for something more substantial.

First day on these skis at Winter Park on Friday. Had just received 12" of snow in the two days prior to being there. Spent an equal amount of time in powdery glades and groomed slopes. These skis handled both very well ... surfing through the new powder and carving very well on slopes. I'm 6'3", 205 lbs and got the 192cm length. Amazing float, yet skied shorter than the 192cm ... hard to describe. First time on 'big boards' and absolutely loved them!

I haven't skied the new (for last year) 115 waist size, but I did ski the 105 in the previous years quite a bit. I'm very excited for the changes in taper and flex, as well as the milled in metal matrix. Super stoked to mount these up and give em hell

Haven't had a chance to ride these yet but they look to be a great ski. Nice moderate flex and camber underfoot should work well on the groomers. Early rise on tip and tail should make these pretty surfy in power.

Prelimiary review, will update during season.
Andrew's description and product knowledge confirmed what I was aware of. Basically upgrading to rocker and going back to some metal. Had K2 Outlaw w/ MOD tech before Bacons. Upgrade skiis every coupla years. Influence and Rossi Axial 2 120 XXL are much lighter than my Bacons. After flex test can tell they will be even more stable and ski the same even though they are slightly longer at 179 Cm with similar sidecut.
One more time Andrew rocks. EVO has by far best customer service.

Wife surprised me with theses skis. Very pleased with her decision. Don't believe in demoing skis, takes too much time. Researched and talked to experts with my wants and needs. 6'1 195 lbs. - 186cm w/ Griffon Bindings. Use these as my all around skis. They are made for it all. Handle better than expected on the groomers. Radius provides a good carve. You want more buy a GS ski. Great on the crud and powder and transitions from crud/ pow and crud/ groom. Very pleased and impressed with the ability to dance in and out of turns through trees and finding the tight spots of pow stache. These are a bit heavier than the Opus and SFB which make this ski more for the aggressive skier since they can run on you in the big mountain pow. Great all around fun ski for every condition ski day. Enjoy!!

Powerful, great edge control and hold. Stable platform in the crud, not the best for landing switch in deep snow.
