K2 A.M.P. Photon Skis + Marker M3 10.0 Bindings 2012: For 2012, the K2 A.M.P. Photon Skis carry a powerful force of energy with the forgiveness and control of All-Terrain Rocker™ combined with new Glass Web and M3 binding system. The Photon has the power to take recreational skiers to every corner of the resort, continuously expanding your comfort zone with its stability and forgiveness. The K2 A.M.P. Photon Skis will bring out capabilities you never knew you had.
All-Terrain Rocker™ is designed for all ability levels with added versatility and ease in all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance with camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Mod Technology is a high-performance suspension system that absorbs vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge hold, power, and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, leaving the overall ski flex unaffected.
Mod Monic is a focused mass-dampener made of a solid zinc mass that focuses mass dampening at a targeted location on the Mod structure.
Cap Construction is durable, lightweight, and softer, built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski.
The K2 A.M.P. Photon Skis come with the Marker M3 10.0 Bindings. This intermediate binding integrates with the M3 Plate that is lower, lighter, and wider for a more effective transfer of power from the boot to the ski for better control and confidence.
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Fir and Aspen core: solid and dense woods known for their inherent strength and durability.
Triaxial Braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. This makes the ski incredibly energetic and responsive, while maintaining a level of ease in all levels of skis.
Glass Web is a weave of glass that envelopes the Mod structure for additional torsional rigidity that is more forgiving and versatile than carbon.
