Arc'teryx utilizes Down Composite Mapping throughout the jacket: strategically placing synthetic insulation in areas that are likely to become wet such as the underarms, hood, shoulders and wrists. Though synthetic insulation typically isn't warmer, it has more insulating power than down when wet. Therefore, combining these two materials creates an unbeatable combination of warmth in a variety of conditions. The athletic fit is flattering and practical, leaving lots of room for ample movement on the go.
