Hybrid gear's the thing these days — one setup you can rock inbounds and out without feeling "undergunned" in either universe. You'll have a hard time doing better for a boot choice than the Dalbello Lupo AX 100 W Alpine Touring Ski Boots. Stiff enough to rip the downhill but not overbearing for technical descents or skinning, and with a removeable tongue option for those long slogs over undulating terrain, the Lupo AX has a generous 100mm fit for most average to slightly wider feet, and the soul of a backcountry adventurer.
Last: 100mm – A fairly roomy 100mm (average) last, with plenty of space over the toebox.
Flex: 100 – A stiff flex for advanced and demanding skiers.
Lupo Air Liner – Focused on both comfort and lightness, the Lupo Air liner is fully heat moldable.
Cuff – Polyamide Composite
Shell – Polyamide Composite
Low Cuff Hinge Point – The low hinging cuff permits the boot cuff to more easily follow the natural anatomic movement of the skier’s legs because it has a longer range of forward and rearward hinging motion. For more efficient walking and gliding. Increased power and control with less energy.
Cabrio Design – The Cabrio design is a 3 piece construction - shell/cuff/tongue – that comfortably secures the foot and lower leg while optimizing smooth and progressive flexibility. Dalbello’s Cabrio models provide the ultimate in responsive performance to ski your best.
Ski & Hike Mechanism – As the burly cuff lock mechanism frees the upper cuff from the lower shell a long range of motion for functional hiking and climbing is guaranteed. Due to the unique Cabrio design it doesn't contain any compromises on the skiing performance.
67° Total Range of Cuff Motion – 40° Forward Lean / 27° Backward Lean
Removable Kinetic Response Tonge – Goes on and off in seconds for better touring mobility.
FP-100 Buckles
Inverted Forefoot Buckle – Forefoot closure buckles (above instep) are inverted to close on top of the bootshell, not on the side. The top closure positioning prevents buckle breakage and bending during rail slides, grinds, falls, and transitions.
Dynalink Heel Retention System – The instep buckle travels in a direct line to the skier's heel, allowing buckle tension to minimize heel lift and sliding.
40mm Velcro strap
Gripwalk Sole Pads – Please make sure your bindings are Gripwalk compatible; if in doubt ask a certified shop technician.
