This year, we've partnered with Salomon to bring Josh's premium backcountry tool to you in extremely limited numbers. Equipped with Backseat Camber and a directional tapered design, the Salomon Dirksen Pro Splitboard + Skins provides you with the control and maneuverability you need to pull off picture perfect Dirksen-esque heelside turns. This setup also features Salomon's ultra-light Ghost Green Core that won't hold you back on the ascent, while the Quadratic Sidecut ensures quick edge-to-edge control in tight couloirs and catch-free turns on untouched, wide-open faces. Premium Plum hardware and custom cut POMOCA skins complete the setup--just what you need to expand your winter riding repertoire.

Backseat Camber – Camber under your back foot and a flat section at the nose, coupled with rocker at the tip and tail lends you maximum control for carving on groomers and a surf-like feel in powder.

Ghost Green Core – The Ghost Green core components have been selected and designed to optimize pop and reduce weight while utilizing the sustainable attributes of super light paulownia wood.

Sidewalls
Royal Rubber Pads – 4 mm Soft Royal Rubber blocks inserted into the high-pressure zones of the board's ABS Sidewalls dampen vibration and mellow big impacts.
Base
Medium Stone Finish – Improves our fast sintered base glide. Quicker in all snow conditions from cold morning corduroy to spring slush.
Sintered Base – Engineered for super fast glide in everything from fresh pow to sticky spring snow. Sintered material provides superior wax retention, Gallium strengthens impact resistance, and the Electra finish gives a turbocharged glide.
Edges
All Mountain Edge Bevel – Detuned tip and tail, a 1° edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut, back to a 2° bevel between the feet. This delivers the most solid edge hold with no hang-ups.

Splitboarding A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
