While your actual landlord might not be too stoked after last week's snow dance party...but hey, at least the snow dance worked! Luckily a new landlord you can ride and tour with is here - the Burton Family Tree Landlord Splitboard. This landlord is pretty awesome: your only monthly dues are face shots, epic mountain views and maybe a beer or two. With Balanced Freeride Geometry and a tech'd out construction, this directional splitboard can rip the gnarliest big mountain lines then seamlessly transition back into the resort for some deep party carves with the crew. If you're looking to explore more but also not give up the ability to crush lift-assisted pow laps, the Burton Family Tree Landlord Splitboard is your ticket to ride.
Directional Camber – A blend of rocker and camber in the nose combines float and control while camber under the back foot drives with power and stability.
Medium-Stiff – Great for backcountry expeditions. Aggressive, fast and tuned for turning.
Directional Flex – This flex features increased pop in the tail and a resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.
Directional – Directional is the original snowboard shape. It is designed with a slightly longer nose, to concentrate the pop in the tail. This board will give you plenty of flotation, fluidity, and control to rip.
17 mm Taper – A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow flotation.
Balanced Freeride Geometry – Twin or directional is the age-old question for creative rippers like Terje. Balanced Freeride Geometry on the Landlord, Landlord Split, Flight Attendant, Gate Keeper, High Spirits and Anti-Social ends the debate with setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with a float and prowess expected from a directional deck.
FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core – Strong and lightweight woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength and reduce weight. FSC™ certification ensures that the wood products are harvested from well-managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
Dualzone™ EGD™ – Comprised of four separate zones, the wood grain rests perpendicular to the core and adjacent to The Channel™ (the area from which a rider's energy input is emitted to the snowboard). Engineered Grain Direction gives you the ultimate strength and edge control.
Squeezebox – Burton's Squeezebox improves your boards performance by balancing thicker more powerful core sections in with thinner more flexible sections. Meaning you get enhanced board connectivity, response and predictability.
45° Carbon Highlights Hi-Voltage – Carbon highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass by adding a full tip to tail carbon layer. This layer is lightweight, and fine tunes torsional flex. 45° angled fiber makes for a more aggressive ride. Hi-Voltage indicates that this snowboard has an additional layer of carbon strands to the angled fiber layers which add strength, pop and durability.
Recycled Sintered WFO – Burton infused specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material. The result is an ultra-durable base that stays fast and furious all season in any conditions.
Die-Cut Base – Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
EcoZen® Topsheet – All Family Tree models feature an EcoZen® topsheet, a hyper clear copolyester material that is created from renewable raw materials.
Artist – Dean Blotto Gray
Super Sap® Epoxy – Featured on all Family Tree models, Super Sap® is a resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board, which is good in our book.
Infinite Ride™ – Burton-exclusive technology allows for maximum pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Split Channel™ – Go ahead and get picky with your splitboarding stance, and continue to fine-tune it as the season unfolds. With the Split Channel, you get the strongest, fastest, easiest, and most adjustable mounting system ever offered on a splitboard. The days of compromise are officially over. All Burton splitboards with the Split Channel come with pucks pre-mounted for easy setup.
