The Weston Gnarnia Splitboard is your go-anywhere, send-any-line machine—born for big freeride missions from blower pow in hidden bowls to spicy spring couloirs. With its dialed taper and setback, it floats effortlessly on deep days while staying precise and dependable when the terrain gets technical. Built with a carbon-reinforced core, durable topsheet, and all the power and pop you need for the ride down, the Gnarnia Split is ready to crush the uptrack and rule the descent.
Camber Profile | Freeride – Subtle rocker in the nose and tail provide additional float without losing stability. Camber underfoot provides confident edge hold and pop.
Flex Rating – Sizes 147-151 | Flex 6/10 // Sizes 154-166 | Flex 8/10
Tapered Directional Shape
Wood Core – Paulownia / Poplar / Bamboo
Tri-Axial Fiber Glass – Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate that offers a precise and responsive ride in any terrain or snow conditions.
Carbon Fiber Stringers – 2x Tip to Tail + S Weave
Polyurethane – Polyurethane is poured during construction to form a single, unified piece of sidewall wrapping around the entire core for increased strength and durability. Because of this process, it also creates less waste material than other sidewall options.
Sintered Durasurf 4001 – The gold standard in bases. The 4000-series sintered bases have a higher density than other options on the market, and are therefore more durable. Additionally, it absorbs more wax, making for a faster and smoother ride. 4000-series PTEX is usually reserved for only top-of-the-line boards due to a higher manufacturing cost, but at Weston it’s the minimum standard.

The Spark R&D Surge ST Bindings are stiff, powerful, and built for big line riders and backcountry legends who demand unwavering performance. With a beefed-up ankle strap and a responsive highback, they deliver maximum control and drive when the terrain gets serious. Whether you're dropping no-fall zones or charging alpine faces, the Surge ST is your go-to for big days in big mountains.
Improved ST (Smooth Touring) Mode – Spark injection molds a proprietary thermoplastic over existing aluminum or steel parts in a process called "overmolding," reducing friction and improving durabillity.
ST Whammy Bar Climbing Wire – Built right into the baseplate. Overmolded plastic where the bar contacts the baseplate allows for super-smooth climbing wire deployment and transitions.
ST Touring Brackets – Incorporates the best features of aluminum and thermoplastics. Spark R&D overmolds their custom plastic blend over and through the holes in the aluminum base, forming bushings that are incredibly durable.
ST Whammy Bars – A single fatty wire with a side arm lever. Overmolded thermoplastic sections allow you to switch easily from stowed, to low (12°), to high (18°) climbing positions and back again while touring. Includes an overmolded sleeve of plastic on both sides of the bar, right where the climbing wire contacts the baseplate. This reduces friction allowing for super smooth movement into and out of high, low, and stowed positions.
T1 Heel Rest – Catches the climbing wire in the 12° and 18° positions.
Snap Ramps – Bindings slide sideways into offset touring brackets and are locked into place with our snap ramps.
CNC Machined Baseplates – Solid for maximum stiffness and durability.
Pillow Line Straps – Lightweight, durable, comfortable, waterproof, one-piece molded construction, and made 100% in-house. Surge ST ankle straps are wide and asymmetrical around the boot for incredible all-around support.
Ladders & Straps – Produced with unique thermoplastics that maintain flex over a wide temperature range
Bomber Buckles – These incorporate Burton's time-tested bomber buckles.
Surge ST Asym Rip "N" Flip Highbacks – These have a high amount of glass fiber fill for a stiff ride and maximum response. They feature individual left and right highbacks for natural ergonomics with a flattened top section giving riders great lateral mobility.
Requires Pucks for Mounting in Ride Mode – Spark Canted Pucks or Regular Pucks recommended (available to purchase separately)
Ibex Crampons sold separately
