The United Shapes Deep Reach Snowboard has the perfect flex and shape to excel in the transition areas: those chopped up panels on the way to the secret stashes that can make or break your run. Once you get there, of course, this board's in its big-wave element, floating like a cork through the deepest drifts. What sets this board apart from other powder boards, though, is its versatility in less-than-perfect snow: that early rise nose and traditional camber do wonders on groomers and tracked-out snow, too!

Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.
