Lofty ambitions and big vertical in mind? Get a touring ski that won't hold you back because of weight or girth; nor let you down due to wimpy lightweight performance. The Blizzard Zero G 85 Skis are the perfect ski mountaineering ski for extended trips beyond the comfort zone, with tenacious edge hold and stability that will amaze those familiar with the traditional feel of ultralight touring gear. Blizzard gets you to that place with a super light Paulownia core and radical Carbon Drive construction, which wraps a unidirectional sheet of carbon around the entire topsheet at the tips and tails. If you've been underwhelmed by the power and stability typical of light mountaineering skis in the past, give the Zero G 85 a try and prepare to be blown away.
Rocker Camber Rocker – Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.
Flip Core Technology – The famed Blizzard Flip Core process matches the core contour with the intended rocker profile so core and laminates act in harmony and don't require re-shaping in the mold.
Ultralight Paulownia Core
Carbon Drive Technology – Blizzard integrates a 3D unidirectional carbon fiber frame over a Paulownia wood core with sidewalls underfoot. The 3D geometry of the carbon frame provides optimal flex and torsional rigidity, and a level of downhill performance that is unprecedented in an alpine touring ski.
Titanal Binding Interface
Top & Bottom Light Directional Fiberglass Layers
Super Light Fiberglass Bottom Layer
Sandwich Compound Sidewall – All Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.
Sintered Graphite Base
