Ultra light construction, a more eco-friendly build process, and Atomic engineering combine in the Atomic Backland 86 SL Skis to produce a featherweight touring ski you'll love when the days are long and the distances huge. Built with an ultralight core of Caruba and Poplar woods with a Carbon Backbone for power and pop, the Backland 86 SL features Atomic's proprietary HRZN 3D tip to improve the ski's performance in deeper snow, and a notch for super clean skin attachment at the tip.

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
