Take a proven winner and make it even smoother and more confident on chattery, hard snow and you've got the Elan Ripstick 96 Skis. Keeping the Amphibio profile, TubeLite Core and Carbon Rods that made the previous version a success and adding UD Carbon and Flax Fiber makes this great ski that much better.
Amphibio Profile / Asymmetrical Design – The Amphibio profile is a revolutionary ski design that integrates both rocker and camber profiles into dedicated left and right skis. Amphibio skis feature a cambered inside edge assuring precision, edge grip, and stability while a rockered outside edge provides forgiveness, turning ease and smooth transitions.
Tubelite Wood Core – To create the TubeLite Wood Core, two super lightweight Carbon tubes are inserted into a lightweight laminated wood core. Measuring 5mm in diameter and hollow in their construction, these tubes run along the length of the ski following the arc of the side cut. They provide torsional stability and powerful rebound while allowing for material reduction of the core. The result is incredible lightweight response and stability.
Carbon Deck Technology – A construction using Elan's TubeLite Woodcore, Carbon Rods, UD Carbon, and Flax Fiber in a carefully prescribed layup for a combination of power and versatility
Fiberglass – Fiberglass reinforcement optimizes the flex pattern and enhances torsional rigidity of the ski. The fibers are positioned either above or below the ski core and improve the ski’s structural integrity.
Carbon Rods – Lightweight Carbon tubes inserted into the ski and run the length of the ski following the arc of the side cut. The carbon tubes provide torsional stability and powerful rebound while allowing for material reduction of the core. The result is incredible lightweight response and stability.
UD Carbon – Unidirectional Carbon Fiber adds strength and life with minimal weight
SST (Slanted Sidewall Technology) Sidewall Construction – The SST Sidewall Construction provides quick, nimble and direct power transmission from the ski to snow as well as providing exceptional torsional rigidity.

Look is bringing the greatness of the legendary Pivot design to the masses with all new 11 and 13 DIN versions replacing the "12." The regular stuff applies - absolute lateral security at the heel, outstanding elasticity and the shortest mounting footprint in the business - but now there's a DIN range suitable for regular skiers who don't need the 15 or 18 with the Look Pivot 2.0 13 GW Ski Bindings. An outstanding addition to the Pivot lineup.
180˚ Multi-Directional Release – A true mechanical upward release that functions independently from the heel for the most effective multi-directional protection in the case of a fall.
Full Action Toe | 45 mm Elasticity – Featuring 45mm of elastic travel and 180⁰ multi-directional release, the Full Action toe piece delivers best-in-class retention and release and increased coupling strength (boot-to-binding interface) for maximum power transmission.
Dual Standard Concept (ISO 5355 Alpine and GripWalk) – Look strategically reinforced the toe housing, increased the toe ramp, elongated the toe-wings, and created a toe that is compatible with both ISO 5355 Alpine and GripWalk soles.
Toe Lateral Elasticity – 45 mm
Turntable Heel – Look’s unique turntable design rotates directly under the tibia for reduced risk of injury and provides 28mm of elastic travel to deliver unmatched shock absorption for significant reduction of pre-release.
28mm Vertical Elasticity – 28mm of elasticity in the heel (the most of any binding on the market) yields a reduction in unwanted pre-releasing.
Smaller Mounting Zone – The shortest mounting zone of any alpine binding available provides less swing weight, improved response, and a deeper, rounder, more consistent ski flex.
7 Points of Contact – More points-of-contact with the boot results in increased lateral energy transmission, drives more power to the edge of the ski and provides superior control, response, and snow feel.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
