Blizzard Rustler 9 Skis 2026

The Blizzard Rustler 9 Skis crush it in so many conditions we hesitate to think of a better all-rounder in the industry. Very crisp and precise for a rocker-camber-rocker design on firm snow, very nimble in bumps and tight spaces, and more than decent in fresh snow, the Rustler 9 is the daily driver of choice for just about anyone who doesn't limit themselves strictly to groomed terrain.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Rocker Camber RockerSki profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.

Core

TrueBlend Freeride CoreCombining Beech, Poplar and Paulownia woods in a uniquely balanced blend that's tailored to the performance needs of each Rustler or Sheeva ski, the TrueBlend Free cores are labor-intensive but allow the flex to be tuned more precisely than ever before.

Laminates

FluxFormFluxForm - Two pieces of Titanal run the length of the ski on either side and taper toward the extremities of the ski. Combined with a separate Titanal plate underfoot, this construction allows for precise edge grip and dampening underfoot while allowing the tips and tails to flex freely. FluxForm varies according to model, with the Rustler 9 using more metal than the 10 or 11.

Sidewalls

Sandwich Compound SidewallAll Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.

Base

Sintered Graphite Base

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Look Pivot 2.0 15 GW Ski Bindings 2026

Pivots have long offered best-in-class freeride performance, making them the go-to binding for skiers placing maximum trust in their gear. They weren't broken and didn't need fixing, but Look has improved them anyway with subtle but impactful tweaks to the classic turntable heelpiece. The new Look Pivot 2.0 15 GW Ski Bindings offer 15mm of boot-sole-length adjustment, a new DIN setting screw, improved durability against ski edges and poles, and an all new 105mm brake width – all without compromising the bomber performance you rely on every time you click in.

Toe Piece

Aluminum Race Toe PieceFeaturing 45mm of elastic travel and 180⁰ multi-directional release, the all-metal RACE toe piece offers maximum power, precision, and durability across all disciplines, from the Alpine World Cup to Freestyle, Freeride and Moguls.

180˚ Multi-Directional ReleaseA true mechanical upward release that functions independently from the heel for the most effective multi-directional protection in the case of a fall.

Dual Standard Concept (ISO 5355 Alpine and GripWalk)Look strategically reinforced the toe housing, increased the toe ramp, elongated the toe-wings, and created a toe that is compatible with both ISO 5355 Alpine and GripWalk soles.

Toe Lateral Elasticity45 mm

Heel Piece

Turntable HeelLook’s unique turntable design rotates directly under the tibia for reduced risk of injury and provides 28mm of elastic travel to deliver unmatched shock absorption for significant reduction of pre-release.

28mm Vertical Elasticity28mm of elasticity in the heel (the most of any binding on the market) yields a reduction in unwanted pre-releasing.

15mm Boot Sole Length Adjustment

Improved DIN Setting Screw

Bumpers and Metal Insert Protect Against Ski Edges and Poles

Additional Features

Smaller Mounting ZoneThe shortest mounting zone of any alpine binding available provides less swing weight, improved response, and a deeper, rounder, more consistent ski flex.

7 Points of ContactMore points-of-contact with the boot results in increased lateral energy transmission, drives more power to the edge of the ski and provides superior control, response, and snow feel.

Long ElasticityLonger elastic travel ensures more reliable retention to keep you in when you need. LOOK bindings offer the most elastic travel (lateral and vertical) and the fastest re-centering prior to release, ensuring superior shock absorption to reduce unwanted pre-release.

Ski Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
