X represents overshaped sidecut, which allows maximum performance on piste. W is for Wide. Wide Body Chassis for floatation in all snow conditions. You will find the Fury to be very responsive edge to edge and tear down groomers while this ski is still able to handle some crud and off piste skiing. Packaged with the Salomon Z12 Ti Bindings you have one of the most versatile responsive packages out there.

Salomon Z12 Ti Ski Bindings- With the introduction of the Z-concept, Salomon improves lateral rigidity, maintains optimum shock absorption, and decreases the overall weight of the system through the use of space-age carbon injected components. Versus previous S9 and S8 series bindings, the Z-concept bindings transfer power better and offer better on snow feel, while maintaining the same level of safety.

All-Mountain All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
