Okay, the Nordica Santa Ana is good. By now, everyone who's read online reviews, talked to ski shop employees, or in any way looked into buying a pair of skis in the last few years knows all about how good the Santa Ana is. Lightweight, yet powerful. Easy to ride, yet incredibly precise. And that all sounds good to you, but you're looking for something a little more... uninhibited. Power is good, and versatility is great, but what if you want to get a little looser? Maybe hit that mini cliff under the chairlift on the next big powder day? Meet the Nordica Santa Ana 104 Free Skis. It's everything everyone loves about the Santa Ana, but with a bit more rocker, a bit more waist, and a bit less metal, giving you just a bit of extra wiggle room to get a bit more free the next time you get after it.
Powder Rocker – Gentle, early-rise rocker tip makes it super easy to initiate turns and set an edge while the turned up tail increases control by making it easy to release the ski from a turn.
True Tip Technology – By trimming the amount of heavy ABS plastic in the tip and extending the lightweight wood core into this area with a tapered shape that further reduces weight, Nordica increase the playfulness and maneuverability while maintaining the classic powerful and stable feel.
Energy TI W – Race inspired technology. A women-specific full wood core with a sheet of metal for top end power transmission, torsional stability, and edge grip.
Carbon Chassis – Nordica's carbon reinforced chassis weighs about 35% less than traditional glass. Full length carbon strips not only reduce weight, they also increase the ski's strength and stability. The result is a stronger, lighter, more stable ski that's also more playful and versatile.
Terrain Specific Metal – The size and shape of the Titanal layer is specifically engineered for each ski width, providing stability where you need it and flexibility where you want it.
Sintered Graphite Base
Geometric Running Base Design – The Enforcer and Santa Ana running base design has a specific geometric shape to show two features of the ski: a horizontal cut indicates where the rocker starts; the intersection of the diagonal cut with the edge shows the ski’s widest point.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
