Much like famed male model Hansel, ski touring is just so hot right now. So most ski companies, if they manage to make a ski this darn light, would call it a touring ski and put tons of emphasis on how good it does on the skin track. Not Head. They designed the Head Kore 105 Skis as their mid-fat freeride ski and all the effort was put into making it the most fun, most stable ripper of rowdy conditions possible. It just happens to be crazy light. So if you're like many of the folks at evo, you'll want to throw some touring bindings on it and go get sendy in the backcountry. But don't be scared to use it as an inbounds daily driver too. Thanks to a unique combination of Koroyd, graphene, carbon, and karuba, this ski is nimble, powerful, and versatile in any conditions.
Rocker / Camber / Rocker
Karuba / Poplar Lightweight Wood Core – Utilizing karuba wood in the core gives you the perfect balance of density, durability, and weight.
Topless Tech – The topsheet surface is replaced with a Polyester Fleece to reduce weight.
Koroyd – Koroyd is a honeycomb shaped material at the heart of the KORE. It's super lightweight and incredibly elastic, providing strong torsional stiffness and stability.
Graphene – Graphene is the strongest, lightest material known to man. Integrating Graphene into the construction of the ski has two essential benefits: a reduction in weight and an increase in performance.
Carbon
Glass Fiber
Dampening Layer
Multilayer-Carbon Sandwich Cap Construction – Developed from the most sophisticated materials known to man: the Super Light Sandwich Construction makes up one of the world’s lightest freeride skis by utilizing Graphene, two different carbon layers, as well as replacing the surface with a polyester fleece. The ultimate construction for a high performing freeride ski
Structured UHM C Base – The same high quality material used in Head's world-leading race skis is used here. Different structured running base for all conditions.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
