A true standout in the mid-fat freeride class, the Faction Candide 3.0 Skis are adaptable and capable of taking on the entire mountain with grace and ease. A versatile skier who takes on steeps, trees and powder as they come up will find the 108 mm waist the ideal "quiver of one' choice. With a moderately stiff and lively balsa flax core, the Candide 3.0 manages to float through freshies and maintain a super minimal swing weight while still railing the hardpack. Titanial reinforcement underfoot provides dampening, as well as a stronger mounting platform for the binding of your choice. The Faction Candide 3.0 Skis are quite possibly the most versatile, fun-to-ride freeride skis on the market, and while they probably won't make you ski like Candide they certainly won't hurt your chances. Rocker / Camber / Rocker – 330mm rocker in the tip, 2mm camber underfoot, and 320mm rocker in the tail.

Hybrid Balsa/Flax Core – A lightweight and well-dampened core with a sidewall construction for great edge hold.
Laminates
Titanal Reinforcement Underfoot – Titanal plates secure the binding screws. The one peice design fits most touring bindings with center screws.
Sidewalls
Micro-Cap Protection – Continuing efforts to improve chip-resistance in their skis, Faction incorporated a 'micro' cap where the topsheet meets the sidewall on sandwich constructed skis.
Multi-Colored Sidewall
Sandwich Construction – Used on most of Faction's skis. A traditional manufacturing method that provides strength, durability, good grip, and edge hold. Rubber is used to dampen vibration and bond the base layers to the core.
Base
Die-Cut PTEX 3000 Base – Used on most Faction Skis. Sintered PTEX 3000 base material is more porous and holds wax well.
Graphics
Matte Textured Topsheet – Matte ICP8210 topsheets require no lacquering saving around 100gm/pair, and reduces the use of not-quite-environmentally friendly lacquer. It also shows through the natural structure of the underlying laminate layers.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

All-Mountain All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm. Big Mountain Big mountain skis are designed for charging big lines with high speeds and big airs. These skis varry in width from wide, powder-oriented skis for skiing Alaska spines to narrower, mixed condition skis for ripping the beat up headwall at your local mountain. Skis in this category tend to be on the stiffer side, often with more rocker in the tip and less in the tail.

Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.

Full Twin Tip Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis.
