Fleet El Rey Skis: Officially TJ Schiller’s favorite new work horse, the El Rey Skis are taking competitors by stampede as well. Armada’s 2009 version is lighter and slightly softer, but stronger from its new and more-refined Fleet Core 3. Armada El Rey’s burly Cap Construction, mid-fat waist, continuous flex and minimal maintenance seal the deal. These skis will cut up the powder, arc on groomers and shred in the park. Whether a first-time lesson, ducking work for some turns, or bringing your skills to the Open, the price will leave enough money to “give er,” as TJ would say.

2.5 Impact Edge-This edge exist for one reason-it’s durable. Designed to resist breaking and tearing out from rock, rail and whatever other abuse it might meet.
Cap Construction-This method wraps a wood core with composite fiberglass in a torsion box. The core and torsion box are inserted in a fiberglass cap, sealed by the base material. The cap has a variable slant top profile. The combination of core, torsion box and cap profile combine for the most even and continuous flex and durable construction.
Fleet Core- The introduction of more refined sustainable wood adds performance while reducing weight in Armada’s newest core. The composition of high-quality woods generates a lively and stable feel for the cap construction Fleet Series.
S7 Base- Armada’s toughest base requiring minimal maintenance for park-specific and Fleet Series skis.
