Armada ARG (La Gorda) Skis - Armada’s ARG Ski is leading the reverse-camber, reverse-sidecut powder ski revolution. The user-friendly shape allows even those with little or no deep-snow experience to slash turns and get more runs in. Armada’s 2009 ARG is even lighter and faster with a new re-configured Ultra Light Core and 50/50 Base. It tracks even better on groomers thanks to AR Fifty Sidewalls-- a reinforced ABS sidewall over the sidecut area coupled with a small amount of camber in the same zone. The Armada’s limited production of the ARG this year means you have less time to think about snagging a pair.

Ultra Light Core- The Ultra Light Core is exclusively used in Armada’s wider, backcountry-oriented skis. The combination of hard-to-find, high density and low-weight woods eliminates unwanted weight while providing an exceptionally smooth ride.
50/50 Base-This die-cut blend of two materials is common ground. It’s faster than S7, but not as high maintenance. Tougher than the Comp Series.
1.7 Impact Edge- This edge also exists in our line for one reason-it’s light. Deliberately small, this edge is on all Armada’s backcountry-oriented skis.
AR Fifty Sidewall-ABS Sidewall meets Cap Construction-the best of both worlds. These capped skis are reinforced along the effective sidecut area with ABS material for maximum edge hold. This produces remarkable sidewall edge hold while significantly lowering swing and overall weight. The AR Fifty construction method is used exclusively on our patent-pending, rockered, sidecut-within-reverse sidecut ARG and JP vs. Julien models.
