Alpha: Superior, best, most powerful. That sounds about right for the Armada Alpha X Skis. Overhauled for 2014, the Alpha X now features a wider platform for increased stability. The tip and tail were also popped, locked and dropped low-rider style for better control while maintaining the light swing weight of the EST Park Rocker. Add a super fast Comp Series Base and light yet poppy Triple Zone core and you've got a ski that's ready to huck the smoothest spins off the biggest booters.
EST Park Rocker – Some next level shizzz. Subtle rocker in the tips and tails with positive camber underfoot. This enhances carving while also disengaging the tip and tail to create a catch-free feel that's ideal for buttering and nose and tail presses.
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – Tip - 6, Waist - 7, Tail - 6.5
Five-Point Shape – Sizes - 164 cm/170 cm/176 cm/182 cm: Tip - 107 mm/108 mm/109 mm/110 mm, Contact Point - 119 mm/120 mm/121 mm/122 mm, Waist - 92 mm/93 mm/94 mm/95 mm, Contact Point - 109 mm/110 mm/111 mm/112 mm, Tail - 99 mm/100 mm/101 mm/102 mm
Tapered Tip and Tail – Refined Five Point shaping promotes tracking in dense snow and versatile speed control.
Hybrid Triple Zone Core – Three high-density wood stringers
Laminate Matrix – Directional layering of fiberglass dictates flex pattern and torsional rigidity.
CK Stringer – Carbon and Kevlar stringers are used in the tail to add pop and extend life.
AR50 Sidewall – With cap in the tip and tail and sidewall under foot, this construction balances performance characteristics for lower swing-weight and increased durability.
Comp Series Base – Armada's fastest sintered graphite base.
2.5 mm Impact Edge – Oversized and specially heat-treated, built to resist impact damage.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
