Völkl Volkl Kendo Skis 2017

Like the martial art they draw their name from, the Völkl Kendo Skis are swift, precise, and direct. But unlike in Kendo, this is no ritualized bamboo stick -- the Kendo has bite. Carving ability that could put many race skis to shame, along with the built in stability of two layers of Titanal and just the right amount of camber are just some of the things you'll enjoy when you step into the Kendo, one of the true standouts on the narrow end of the all-mountain freeride category.

Rocker Type

Freeski Tip and Tail RockerMakes the ski turn-friendly and allows for a stiffer flex setup. Only the shovel and tail zones bend upwards, with traditional cambering in the middle for pop.

Shape

Moderate Tip & Tail Taper

Core

Multi-Layer Wood CoreVölkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.

Laminates

Power ConstructionConstruction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Used in racing skis as well as all the freeskiing models, this versatile, proven construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride.

Base

P-Tex 2100 BaseA sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Marker Griffon Ski Bindings 2016

The Marker Griffon Ski Bindings are our top selling performance binding year after year. The reasons are obvious - excellent energy transmission, light weight compared to other bindings in its class, and solid durability have made the Griffon a fan favorite that finds its way onto more freeride skis than any other 12 to 14 DIN clamp. Marker's gliding AFD (anti-friction device) ensures consistent release with all types of ISO 5355 alpine soles and is less dependent on cleanliness or condition than stationary AFD's. The Inter Pivot Heel is time tested and offers excellent vertical elasticity as well as reliable release when you really need it. Step into the Griffon this season and find your own sweet spot.

Toe Piece

AFD Gliding PlateAll Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFT is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.

Triple Pivot Elite Toe PieceWith a horizontally oriented spring, it provides the highest energy absorption to reduce the risk of early release. The secure purchase on the boot lug optimizes power transmission and allows for durable, high energy use. The performance to weight ratio of the Triple Pivot toe is truly unmatched in the industry.

Heel Piece

Inter Pivot HeelThis industry-leading construction delivers superior holding power for all types of freeskiing. Its design focuses power in the direction of the boot sole, increasing elasticity. The overall design creates optimum power transmission.

Dalbello Aspect 80 Ski Boots 2016

For the enthusiast who loves to ski but hates the cramped, cold ski boot - the Dalbello Aspect 80 Ski Boots are all about comfort. The softer flex is more forgiving and the Supercomfort liner feels warm and plush on your feet. Made with dbHylite polymer, the boot also provides great control while remaining conveniently lightweight. The hike/ski mechanism is handy for those long walks between the car and the lift, and the replaceable toe and heel protector means that the boot will last you for many winters.

Fit

Last: 102 mmThis versatile, wider forefoot last fits a wide range of feet comfortably, with a closer fitting ankle and heel pocket to prevent travel inside the boot.

Contour 4 Shell FitContour 4 Technology is a revolutionary technological advance in performance ski boot fitting. The anatomical contours of the inside sidewalls of the boot-shell, as well as the innerboot lasts, are precisely “mapped” to the shape of the typical high performance skier’s foot. A little extra “space” is molded into the inside of the boot shell at 4 critical fit points: ankle, heel, 5th metatarsal, and navicular.

Flex

Flex: 80A softer flex for progressing beginner to intermediate skiers.

Adjustable FlexWith the turn of an allen key, a function on the back of the cuff allows you to adjust the boot's flex by approximately ten flex points from 80 ("hard") to 70 ("soft").

Liner

Supercomfort LinerWith Comfort Density foam and an Adaptive Comfort Toebox, the Supercomfort liner is designed to bring you just that - superior amounts of comfort. The liner is also compatible with most boot heating systems.
