Product Info

Known as mini-Codes, the SRAM G2 RSC Disc Brake up the stopping power and modulation for today's aggressive trail bikes. 4-piston brakes that deliver tons of clamping power for their weight, these are a perfect complement to the mid- and short-travel bikes we all seem to be riding. These dump heat very well, staying consistent on long downhills when 2-piston offerings may fade. Customizable and durable, the G2 RSC brake is a trail weapon of the highest order.

Set Features

Bleeding Edge™New bleed porting and fluid path make it easier to push fluid through the caliper for quick and easy bleeding, dedicated bleed adapter for the S4 caliper plugs into the bleed port and seals the system to minimize air contamination and fluid loss.

Timing Port ClosureA hydraulic brake’s timing port is the connection between the reservoir and the master cylinder bore. When the lever is squeezed, a cup seal passes this area and closes the port, which pressurizes the system. SRAM’s new timing port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish, producing dependable braking power and consistency.

Power Reserve GeometryThese levers were designed with the lowest X Factor (the distance from the center of the handlebar to the center of the lever's pivot) for a reduced inward travel. This creates an arc that's closer to your fingers' natural motion, delivering more power to the lever.

SwingLink™Squeeze a new SRAM brake lever and you notice it immediately. Less deadband. More positive pad engagement. A new cam system requires less lever throw to push the pads toward the rotor. That's great but there's more to perfect braking performance than just power. You need control. Many brake systems minimize deadband -- but at the cost of modulation. SwingLink™ solves that with its special cam shape. When the pads contact the rotor, power is modulated, avoiding that "on/off" brake feel. It's the perfect balance of power and precision.

Reach AdjustBrake lever fit and feel is a personal thing. Riders have individual positioning preferences, as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. Reach Adjust makes it easy to adjust your lever for maximum one-finger control for everyone.

Lever

Lever Pivot BearingsPrecision sealed bearings at the lever point enhance the clean, crisp lever actuation and consistent, light, one-finger feel.

Contact Point AdjustmentPick the position you want your fingers to be in when your brakes are engaged. This is a quick and easy way to customize the feel fo your brakes without having to move your pads, and to balance the levers to feel exactly the same.

Caliper

S4 Lightweight 4-Piston CaliperThis all new S4 Caliper features four machined and moly-coated aluminum pistons for consistent rollback and easy setup.
