The Salomon MTN Explore W Alpine Touring Ski Boots have been a resounding success both in the mid-weight touring category and in the lighter alpine boot market. Aimed more at the lighter finesse type of skier, these boot's remarkable range of motion and simple but functional design make skiing, skinning and even transitioning a pleasure. This boot requires a tech or Multi Norm Compatible (MNC) binding, but it's a great choice for those who want to a setup to ski both in-bounds and out.

Surelock Ski / Walk Mechanism – Low profile lever is located at the same level as the upper buckle and can be undone in the same movement. Maximum cuff release for touring and secure lock for skiing down. Horizontal positioning for mechanical reliability. Independent from the cuff buckle for more convenience when touring.
