Product Info

Designed for those seeking a light weight boot that's ergonomic and comfortable on the trip up, yet potent and responsive on the way down, look to the Dalbello Sherpa ID Ski Boots. Although these boots aren't equipped with modern tech inserts, they're extra long stride range, comfortable stance and ISO 9523 Alpine Touring soles make these boots an excellent choice for ski coaches and lifties running compatible alpine bindings, or skiers using more downhill-oriented frame touring bindings yet refuse to let a little extra weight keep 'em in bounds.

Product Details

Fit

Last: 100 mmThis mid-wide last securely envelopes the anatomical contours of the foot for maximum foot retention with enhanced sensitivity and responsiveness.

Flex

Bio-Stride Tongue w/ Twin HingePatented, three-piece hinging tongue design assembly permits the tongue to follow the movement of the leg throughout its glide/stride/walking range of motion, either forwards or backwards.

Liner

I.D. (Intuition®/Dalbello) Thermo Enact LinerA combination of Enact® Intuition® foam and High Density Intuition® foam, these liners are highly elastic with maximum comfort and cushioning. The Enact liners are also fully heat moldable with a no-tongue overlapping design and an impressive warmth to weight ratio.

Shell Materials

Cabrio Design Architecture Dalbello’s critically acclaimed, 3 Piece Cabrio Design architecture has been the cornerstone of their performance, all mountain, and freestyle models for more than a decade. This unique construction combines a 3 piece construction assembly - shell/cuff/tongue – that comfortably secures the foot and lower leg while optimizing smooth and progressive flexibility. Dalbello’s Cabrio models provide the ultimate in responsive performance to ski your best. Cabrio Design permits the use of stiffer and more rigid plastics in the lower shell. This strengthens the support around the foot and lower leg providing quick response and precise transfer of power to the ski edges. This design also prevents the lower shell from distorting and bulging as the boot flexes, making the boot more smooth and stable at high speeds and on irregular terrain.

Shell/Cuff/Tongue PU (Polyurethane) / dbHylite / PA (Polyamide)

Stance

Center Balanced "Rocker" StanceFoot angle, cant angle, and cuff inclination engineered into the shell and cuff positions skiers in a balanced and centered stance for optimum dynamic performance.

Low Cuff HingeA high leverage cuff assembly with hinge points mounted approximately 10 mm lower than standard construction boot designs. This permits the boot cuff to more easily follow the natural movement of the skier’s legs because it has a longer range of forward and rearward hinging motion.

Ski/Walk Mode

Twin Hinge Ski/Walk MechanismEasy to handle, durable, up/down hinging lever with nylon pull-tab unlocks boot cuff activating smooth "free hinging" walking and gliding function. Twin axle assembly enables extra-long range of rearward hinging cuff movement for longer, more efficient glide/stride range.

Buckles

Dynalink Rearfoot RetentionDynalink is an independently functioning heel/instep closure band assembly that secures the skier's foot in the middle and rearfoot sections of the ski boot. During boot flex, the Dynalink band does not permit the foot to slide forward or the heel to lift lifting inside the boot shell.

3 F Lite Aluminum Micro-Adjustable Buckles

Sole

AT Norm Boot Sole w/ Vibram®Rockered geometry, lugged Vibram® rubber outsole facilitates walking, climbing, and high traction utility for off-piste functionality.

Quadrablock Stability PylonsHigh durometer, reinforced polyurethane Quadralock Stability Pylons provide solid boot to binding interface at 4 points, minimizing sole compression and flex.

Binding CompatibilitySherpa models are NOT designed for use with Alpine DIN Norm (ISO 5355) ski bindings. These boots are compatible with ISO 9523 Alpine Touring Norm bindings.
