"Keep your eyes down trail" is easier said than done on the Yeti Cycles SB150 C1 Complete Mountain Bike. This bike flies down everything so fast you'll find yourself craning your neck to see around corners to stay ahead of it. Big tires, big travel, big fun: the SB150 is everything you love about mountain biking all wrapped into a beautiful carbon fiber package. With legendary capabilities and a reasonable parts build, this is a bike for riders who don't have to go fast to have fun, but know that going faster is always better. Get your eyes checked and saddle up!
C/Series Carbon Frame – By making small changes in the carbon fiber layup of their TURQ Series bikes, Yeti was able to create a more aggressively priced carbon high-performance mountain bike. C-Series frames maintain the strength and stiffness of the TURQ Series. The carbon fiber in C-Series weighs a bit more, about 190g per frame. Every bike model is offered in at least one C-Series option with high-end components.
Switch Infinity Suspension – Switch Infinity utilizes a patented translating pivot that switches direction as the bike moves through its travel. This provides excellent anti-squat characteristics for superior pedaling performance and ideal suspension characteristics as it gets deeper into the travel.
Fox X2 Performance Rear Shock – The award-winning, gravity-defying air shock is totally redesigned for 2021. With a laundry list of advanced features, the X2 is ready to clean house. This is the air shock that will help you say goodbye to coils.
Shock Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure, Lever Actuated Open, Medium, Firm Modes, Rebound Adjust
Internal Cable Routing – This may seem like a small thing, but having a clean aesthetic on the frame along with internally molded carbon tubes inside for hassle-free cable routing is key. It makes for a quiet ride and ease of maintenance. For Yeti, building a great frame is all about the details.
Integrated Axle and Hanger – The integrated axle and derailleur hanger system is built for simplicity and strength. Utilizing a left-hand thread to secure the hanger allows Yeti to incorporate the same machine piece for the axle retention. A clever little system the engineers spent many hours on that might get overlooked.
Integrated Frame Protection – The frame protectors for the down tube and chainstay are custom molded to match the frame. This guarantees a proper fit and adhesion to the frame for years of protection without the need for replacement or additional adhesives.
Bottle Cage Mount – Within the front triangle, fits piggyback shocks.
Sealed Enduro Max Bearing Pivots
148mm Rear Axle Spacing
VVC (Variable Valve Control) – VVC is a proprietary variable valve control system that allows for external fine-tuning of suspension performance. VVC achieves with the twist of a knob what typically requires the time consuming and complicated task of completely disassembling and reassembling the fork.
Fox 38 Performance – Packing the same revolutionary feature set as the legendary 36, the new 38mm stanchion redefines what's possible with a single crown fork. Smoother, stiffer, and ready for the big time, this fork has 170mm of customizable travel.
Fork Adjustments – FIT GRIP 3-Position Lever (Open, Medium, Firm), Rebound Adjust, Air Spring Pressure
Shimano SLX – SLX is ready to go wherever and whenever you want, whether it’s an all-day epic, the local cross country race, or a post-work ride with your buddies. It won’t let you down.
203mm Shimano Rotors
Shimano Deore 4-Piston Brakeset – Consistent braking performance and reliable stopping power in all conditions. The 4-piston caliper instills greater downhill confidence and control.
Maxxis Assegai Front Tire – The Maxxis Assegai tire is named after the iron-tipped spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. Greg Minnaar, a native of South Africa, thought it was a fitting name for a tire ready to do battle on the mountain. The tall knobs punch through dust and loam to find traction, but also offer support and confidence on wet roots and rocks. While other tires excel only in certain conditions, the new Maxxis Assegai is built to go fast everywhere.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire – With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control.
DT Swiss E 532 – Riders who like the idea of giving their tires some extra volume and support will find the ideal partner with the E 532. Its full 30 mm of inner width together with a minimal hook and perfect tubeless compatibility make it ready to tackle all demanding trails, both up and down the mountain.
Fox Transfer Dropper Seatpost – The latest Transfer keeps its smooth action and low-height stack design, but shaves 25g and updates its internals for even easier serviceability.
