The crowd has been heard: the Transition Smuggler Carbon XO AXS Complete Mountain Bike updates one of the gems of their product line, a trail bike that's overflowing with the adventurous spirit of the sport. Whether it's daily PR attempts after work, backcountry epics on the weekend, or exploring new trails on your once-a-year road trip, this Smuggler is game. With 130/140mm of travel, aggressive geo, and even more aggressive components, this is a gol dang mountain bike! A mountain bike that's absolutely dialed on 97% of all trails (and manageable on that other 3%). If you had to choose one bike to ride for a season (as most of us do), a Smuggler is the one that'll produce the most fun!

GiddyUp Suspension – A wide usable sag range of 25 - 35% allows the rider to tune the feel of the bike; from firm and snappy, to more supple and active. Wherever you end up, you can focus on the trail without remotes, levers or knobs. Just grab your bike and GiddyUp.
Progressive Kinematics – With a little over 27% progression through its travel, this bike gives an almost bottomless feel in a mid-travel package. Its 130mm of rear travel can easily be upped to 140mm, and it's even compatible with a coil shock.
Speed Balanced Geometry – SBG ensures the bike maintains low speed agility, front wheel traction, and proper rider weight balance while actually increasing confidence in steep terrain and at high speeds. With SBG, a slacker head tube angle is combined with an all new reduced offset fork standard, preventing the front wheel from being too far in front of the rider. This improves front to rear weight distribution on the bike, which is often out of balance on long and slack bikes. One of SBG's greatest benefits is that it creates a confident steering feel that adapts to wheel speed. More stability when going fast, more agility on technical slow speed maneuvering as well as improved traction, control and confidence for any skill level of rider.
UDH – SRAM's Universal Derailleur Hanger is available at almost every bike shop, should something go wrong.
Fox Float X Factory Rear Shock – "Factory" says it all -- feature-packed and designed to exceed the demands of factory-level riders, this shock is without peer. With that ultra-durable (and recognizable) Kashima coating, this is a light weight shock with sophisticated damping and fade-free performance.
Shock Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / Independent 2-Position Open/Firm Lever / Low Speed Compression (11 Clicks) / Low Speed Rebound (16 Clicks)
Fox Float 34 Factory – With its new lower leg arch design, legendary Float EVOL air spring, and amazing GRIP2 damper, this is a fork for every trail. With a new, enlarged negative air chamber, stiffer lower leg arch, and endless tuneability, this is as good as a trail fork can get right now.
Fork Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure / High Speed Compression (8 Clicks) / Low Speed Compression (16 Clicks) / High Speed Rebound with VVC (8 Clicks) / Low Speed Rebound (16 Clicks)
SRAM X0 AXS Transmission – Eagle Transmission has been designed and engineered into tangible technology for the world’s most demanding riders. Built around the universal constant of the wheel axle itself, Eagle Transmission is a radically robust, fully integrated and interdependent wireless transmission that literally changes how we ride. It simplifies, strengthens, and extends lifespan to new limits. It uses no derailleur hanger or adjustment screws and lets you shift flawlessly under maximum power. Eagle Transmission drops a seismic shift on what it means to shift a mountain bike.
SRAM Code RSC – With their expanded PiggyBack reservoir, a range of contact adjustments, and legendary power, the Code RSC is a 4-piston brake that allows you to determine how and when you're slowing down. Customizable power.
SRAM HS2 Rotors – The all new HS2 Rotor is a mountain bike specific rotor designed to improve brake performance while reducing noise and increasing heat dissipation. Featuring a new brake track pattern for increased pad traction and recessed spokes with thermal dissipating paint, the HS2 is a more powerful, quieter rotor with best-in-class heat management.
Crankbrothers Synthesis Enduro Rims on Industry Nine 1/1 Hubs – This tuned front/rear wheelset delivers the specific performance requirements and loads of mountain bike riding. The more compliant front wheel improves handling and maximizes grip and control in turns, with a wider inner rim for increased volume and contact patch size. The stiffer rear wheel supports peak loads and enhances stability and tracking at speed, with a narrower inner rim that supports a faster-rolling tire. On Industry Nine 1/1 hubs, for maximum durability.
Maxxis Assegai Front Tire – Greg Minnaar’s signature tire – the Maxxis Assegai – provides tenacious, predictable grip across the entire profile no matter the lean angle. The Assegai can be used front and rear for a surefooted feel or as a front paired with a faster rolling rear tire.
Maxxis Dissector Rear Tire – Designed in conjunction with Aussie DH racer Troy Brosnan, the Dissector seeks to minimize drag while retaining cornering control. This versatile tire can be used as a front, a pair, or as a rear depending on trail conditions.
