The Cardiff Crane Pro Carbon Splitboard makes the deepest days and biggest objectives in the backcountry feel like a hot lap in the park. Designed with an all-mountain freestyle feel, but laid up with a crazy lightweight Pro Carbon construction, this thing is an anomaly wrapped in an enigma pointed down the Alaskan spines of your mind. It's damp, stable, lightweight, and playful, enabling both super techy riding and super loose antics on the same deck.

HALFcamber65 – The patent-pending Cardiff HALFcamber places camber where it is absolutely necessary and gradual rocker everywhere else. The result is maximum glide, maneuverability and edge control. HALFcamber65 features camber underfoot on 65% of the deck.

BUTTERblunt Nose & WINGtail – This nose and tail are designed to allow easy transition from side to side but massive float without the extra length and weight of traditional powder shapes. This creates the perfect nose and tail to pop and butter.
PERFECTpivot 3.0 – Every Cardiff snowboard is uniquely designed to match the shape to the camber - resulting in a new standard of performance.
Core
Pro Carbon Build – This is a true 100% carbon fiber construction build. The core is a lightweight poplar + paulownia mix with vertically laid aluminum strips which balances the carbon to give it a more damp ride. Splitboard models include added reinforcements under the toe piece and the ENDUROcap. The solid version uses a urethane SHOWtopper finish, which allows for quick and easy snow shedding.

Splitboarding A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
