Designed for firmer, more groomed snow and a new skier. The K2 A.M.P. Stinger features a standard camber where the FCP (Forward Contact Point) and ACP (Aft Contact Point) are the first two locations that come in contact with the snow when the ski is placed on a flat surface. The standard camber is the most versatile camber to ensure a lively ski in all types of terrains and conditions.
Constructed with Torsion Box Technology that has a braided core keeping the ski light, lively and responsive. Torsion Box construction is a process of wrapping fiberglass around a wood core that produces light, lively skis. Torsion box has become the most widely used construction because if it’s highly versatile process, and has enabled K2 to build numerous models from entry to expert level skis. While flex and torsion vary, Torsion Box skis share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness and energy.
M2 10 Bindings feature the K2/M2 system that is the ultimate ski/plate/binding system designed for performance and recreational skiers. Utilizing a new Two Linkage Toe and a fixed Compact2 Heel design, the M2 10 Bindings generate more power, precision and quickness underfoot.
The Core of the K2 A.M.P Stinger Skis use a fir and aspen wood composite. These materials have an inherent strength, durability and energy. Mod Technology that functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. Mod Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass dampening at a targeted location.
