Rent a luxury Sprinter campervan out of Vegas this fall or spring, and experience the wonder of the Desert Southwest. With Death Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion and the Grand Canyon all within a day’s reach of Las Vegas, it might be hard to decide where to start!

There’s a reason that all great road trips pass through Las Vegas. This thriving oasis is the beating heart of road trip country, with miles of open road stretching out in any direction the desert calls you. Pick up your luxury Mercedes Campervan from our partners at Moterra Campervans, before you dive down rabbit holes in Zion National Park and sleep under the starlit skies of Bryce Canyon on your way to the Grand Canyon. In the West, Death Valley and the Southern Sierra stand between you and the hills, valleys, beaches, and pounding surf of the California Coastline. Hit the road and let the spirit of the desert carry you away.

Van options:

Pop Top Classic - Sleeps 4 and seats 5: Our signature campervan, the Pop-Top Classic will elicit memories of the Westfalias of old, but with a distinctly luxurious twist. Boasting an 8-foot ceiling, the most floor space of any of our layouts, a self-contained solar electricity system, ample storage space, and a full kitchen, this campervan is the Classic for a reason.

Pop Top Plus - Sleeps 4 and seats 8: Great for larger parties, the Pop Top Plus features seat belts for eight so you can fit the whole gang when shuttling to the trailhead! Wrap around 360° windows and a large outdoor awning extends the social space rain or shine. For those looking for more sleeping space, the Pop Top Plus offers a bed just larger than a standard queen, and is the newest addition to our fleet.

The High Roof - Sleeps 2 and seats 6: We built our High Roof Campervan with couples in mind. Featuring an indoor shower, hot water system, full kitchen, thermostat heater and queen-sized bed, this is van life at its most luxurious!  Experience the great outdoors with a loved one in any season.

Area Information
Desert Southwest

Bryce Canyon: Known for its massive amphitheater packed with hoodoos, an appropriately bizarre name for an incredibly weird and beautiful rock formation. The canyon is also home to miles and miles of trails, fascinating educational programming from the rangers, and the most spectacular arrays of starry night sky that you are likely to see.

Zion: A trip into Zion National Park is a journey into another universe, surrounded by outlandish rock formations, aquamarine rivers, and a fascinating variety of plants and animals. Home to some of the worlds best rock climbing, extensive hiking and trail systems, and crystal clear rivers, get lost in Zion and you won’t want to leave.

Grand Canyon: The gut-wrenching, vertigo-inducing drop as the earth disappears beneath you into an impossible chasm is legendary. Explore on foot, by mule or raft, or even through the air and you will still never see every corner of the canyon, but you can certainly try.

Lake Powell: Snaking river canyons, brilliant blue waters, teeming with fish, Lake Powell is an unbelievable aquatic destination, although not without some controversy. While debates still rage regarding the value and impact of the Glen River Dam compared to what now lies beneath the waters, what is undeniable is the beauty of this incredible place.

Death Valley: Settlers and native alike learned to be wary of this desert, often the hottest place in the US, but also one of its most beautiful. Rare spring super blooms paint the desert in striking colors, sand dunes rise and fall like the Sahara, and the lowest point in the country rises up to its highest just 80 miles away. With our desert season taking place outside of the summer’s hottest months, you are perfectly poised to see Death Valley at its best in a vehicle built to thrive in hard places.

FAQ
FAQ
  • What happens once I book the rental?
After you book your rental, an evo representative will reach out to get your desired dates of rental. Once we have confirmed availability for your desired van rental, Moterra will reach out with more detailed pick up info. Please wait to book flights or make travel arrangements until we have confirmed availability.
  • Can I book additional nights?
Absolutely! The current nightly rate before taxes are: Pop Top Classic - $339/night, Pop Top Plus or High Roof - $359/night. Please note when confirming date availability you would like additional nights and we will do our best to accommodate.
  • How do I meet up with the group?
Once you book a van we will email you specific instructions and directions to our office/pick-up location. Not to worry, you will receive an additional email with this information 7 days prior to your reservation! Each office hub is located in a convenient location close to the airport and in close proximity to grocery stores. If you’d like to pick up the van elsewhere, please reach out and we will explore whether we can accommodate your request. Please note that charges apply for off-site pick-ups/drop-offs.
  • What gear should I bring? Do you offer rentals?
The gear you bring is completely up to you and your adventure! We do offer rentals for bike racks, tents & sleeping pads, hammocks, an entertainment pack (A deck of cards, glow in the dark Bocce, Frisbee & Jenga), binoculars, outdoor shower & tent, dutch oven, cooler, portable awning, hitch mounted storage, luno front bunk
  • Is trip insurance required?
Trip insurance is not required, but we do recommend protecting any trip with travel insurance from World Nomads.
  • What if I need to cancel?
Should you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation due to state or federally mandated travel restrictions, provided you are not able to receive reimbursement from an insurer (trip insurance or other), and you are between 8 and 45 days of your reservation’s departure date when placing the request, we will credit your rental amount towards a future rental with us with no expiration. Please note that rentals cannot be rescheduled within 7 days of departure and forfeit any credits upon cancellation.
  • What is the minimum and maximum number of guests per trip?
The maximum number of guests is the number of seatbelts in your van: ○ Pop-Top Classic (5) ○ Pop-Top Plus (8) ○ High Roof (6)
  • Is there a minimum age required for this trip?
Renters/ drivers must be 25 years old
  • What are my insurance options? How much does it cost?
You can choose to buy comprehensive insurance from Moterra, or alternatively you can check to see if you are covered under your personal vehicle policy. If you decide to use your personal policy, Moterra requires an insurance binder from your insurance company, which states that you are covered for a Class B Rental at or above the total value of the van, at least 1 week prior to your reservation starting. Once you have booked your campervan, you will receive an email with a sample insurance binder you can send to your insurance company. While Collision protection is optional (but recommended!), we do require some form of liability insurance, whether ours or yours, that meets the above requirements.
  • Is there heat and A/C in the vans?
All of our vans have A/C, when the vans are running. There is no A/C when you are parked. All of our vans have in-built heaters that run off the diesel, and can be used overnight.
  • Are the vans 4WD?
Yes! However, keep in mind that these are campervans, not off-road vehicles. As stated in our rental contract, we do ask that you stay on well-maintained dirt roads if planning to go ‘off the grid.
  • Do we have to park in RV designated sites?
Moterra campervans are 19 feet long and are not required to park in RV designated spaces; you can park in any tent or car camping site accessible by car. You are more than welcome, of course, to reserve an RV site if you wish to use the RV site hookups.
  • Can I put a carseat in the van?
Yes! No matter which type of van you opt for, you’ll have at least one shoulder and one lap belt for a car seat. We do not have the latch and anchor system for car seats, but both a shoulder and lap belt work to install most types of car seats, front or rear facing. Please check on the details of your specific car seat to review installation and compatibility.
  • What is the toilet like?
We offer a toilet to all reservations for all van types- if you decide when you arrive that you would not like to take the toilet with you, you can leave it at our warehouse. The Thetford Portapotti is a hassle-free seated option – you can see a video of how it works . Please note that toilets must be emptied before being returned to avoid incurring an additional cleaning fee of $150.

"Moterra went above and beyond to ensure that my family and I had a trip to remember. The team was helpful and available as we prepared and packed, making sure the camper had everything needed for our trip. I grew up renting RVs with my family and my experience with Moterra has been excellent from the point we picked up the camper van to dropping it back off. I highly recommend renting from them."
