    Day number 1
Day 1: Welcome St George, Utah

Meet your group at 8:00am outside the Red Lion Hotel in St. George. Parking will be arranged for guests. Look for a White Rim Tours van with utility trailer in the parking lot. At this point, the group will load the vehicle, and then drive to Navajo Lake, our basecamp for the next two nights. The drive from St. George to camp is about 2 hours and a huge climb from the desert to a forested mountain lake at 8500’. At camp, we will unload and get ready to ride! There will be an orientation, then venture out on the Navajo Lake Loop, a beautiful nine miles of rolling moderate singletrack and a perfect warm-up to the trip. Those looking for extra credit can climb the Spruces Trail for a ripping fun descent straight to the campground.

Once back in camp, the guides will assist you with tent set-up. At this point your work is done! The guides will set up lawn chairs and hors d'oeuvres while you enjoy a cold drink and a healthy delicious meal. Washbasins are available for personal use and a solar shower is usually available for 1 or 2 nights during the trip. This is your time to relax, whether you choose to lounge around camp with our library of books or set out for an exploratory hike. Swimming in the Navajo Lake is a fantastic way to cool off!

From there, riders may choose to catch a shuttle back to camp or ride back to camp along the southern limits of this fantastic trail system. Once we return to camp, kick off your cycling shoes and relax as the guides prepare a scrumptious dinner.

Area Information

Bryce Canyon National Park

Also known for its otherworldly rock formations and vast amphitheaters, Bryce Canyon National Park is a natural wonder unlike any other. Located on the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah, the park ranges from around 8,000 to 9,100 feet in elevation and is home to the largest concentration of hoodoos—tall, thin spires of rock—found anywhere on Earth. Carved over millennia by frost, water, and wind, the canyon’s surreal landscapes are accented by pine forests, alpine meadows, and dramatic overlooks that stretch to the Grand Staircase. On this journey, we’ll ride along the rim and through the surrounding high desert terrain, exploring scenic trails. Bryce Canyon is not only a geological masterpiece—it’s also an unforgettable destination for mountain biking in the heart of Utah’s canyon country.
