    Day number 1
    Day 1:

    Arrival Day - Welcome to Chamonix, France

    Arrive at Geneva Airport to kick off your adventure. You’ll meet your trip representative, load your gear in the van and drive through stunning alpine scenery en route to Chamonix. Upon arrival, take some time to settle in, dial in your gear, and get ready for the upcoming first day of riding. In the evening, explore the charming town of Chamonix before gathering for a welcome dinner at the chalet.

    Day number 2
    Day 2:

    After an energizing breakfast, we'll meet to go over the week’s agenda. The first ride typically starts on the gentler trails of Le Tour or Les Houches, perfect for warming up and getting comfortable on the bike. After a full day of riding, laughing, and working up a good sweat, we’ll return to town for some well-earned après-bike and downtime at the chalet. In the evening, you can head out to explore one of Chamonix’s incredible restaurants or simply relax and enjoy dinner at the chalet.

    Day 3:

    Now that we're warmed up, we'll ride some of the most epic mountain biking terrain Chamonix has to offer. We’ll explore the area’s top trails, with some days taking us beyond the valley into neighboring regions of Italy and Switzerland. Highlights may include the renowned trails of Pila and La Thuile in the Aosta Valley, as well as a variety of unforgettable routes in Switzerland’s Valais region.

    Rest Day

    Take a full day to unwind, relax, and recharge for the final stretch of riding. If you haven’t yet visited the Aiguille du Midi, this is the perfect opportunity to take in its breathtaking views and experience the high alpine beauty from above.

    Today we will continue exploring Chamonix and its surrounding valleys. Depending on trail conditions and weather, we may venture into nearby regions of Italy or Switzerland—all within an hour's reach of Chamonix.

    Repeat of Day 6

    We'll cap off the adventure with a final evening at the chalet, celebrating with a farewell dinner and memories made on the trails.

Whether you're weaving through alpine ridgelines or navigating rooty forest trails, each ride is set against the dramatic backdrop of glacial peaks and sweeping valleys, delivering both challenge and reward for riders of all levels. 

After an adrenaline-filled day on the bike, Chamonix invites you to unwind and soak in its unique mountain-town charm. The vibrant town center buzzes with life, home to a wide selection of cozy cafés, rustic restaurants, lively bars, and artisan shops. Whether you're enjoying a traditional Savoyard meal, sipping coffee with mountain views, or browsing the work of local makers, Chamonix offers a rich cultural counterpoint to its rugged terrain.

  • Is my trip guaranteed to run?
    No, please note there is a minimum number of guests required (4) for this trip to run. Please wait to make travel arrangements until you have received confirmation from evoTrip.
  • What level of fitness, skill and experience is required for this trip?
    This trip is designed for both intermediate and advanced riders. Participants should possess a solid foundation of experience and technical skills, to confidently navigate a variety of terrain and challenges. Be prepared for rough double track and some technical single-track, as well as undulating trails with moderate climbs and descents. Intermediate riders may choose to walk certain technical sections, while advanced riders can tackle more demanding features. Both levels exhibit good bike-handling skills and the ability to ride various terrain under different conditions, including muddy, dry, loose, and bedrock surfaces.   • I’m ready to book. What next? Can I pay a deposit only?
    To secure your spot, you can either book online or contact Customer Care at 1.866.386.1590 to set up your booking. If you prefer to only pay the 30% deposit per person, please call Customer Care to make payment. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
  • I've got a crew! What kind of pricing can you offer for me & my party?
    This adventure runs with a minimum of four riders and can host up to seven. The standard trip price is $3,350 per person, based on a group of six. If your group size is different, we offer custom pricing: groups of four are priced at $4,200 per person, and groups of five at $3,750 per person. Have a full crew of seven? Great news, the rate drops to $3,150 per person. If you're planning to ride with a group size other than six, just reach out to us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help you with the custom pricing.
  • What will my guides be like?
    Lead Guide – Wayne. With his French Carte Pro VTT qualification, which is the French MTB Guiding/Instructor Qualification, and a British Cycling Qualified MTB Ride Leader certification, Wayne has the credentials to guide you on the finest trails that the Chamonix Valley has to offer, having ridden in the area for over 18 years.
  • Can my dietary restrictions be accommodated?
    Yes! If you have any allergies or food restrictions, please inform us prior to your departure. Our guides are always prepared to accommodate dietary restrictions and coordinate substitute meals for allergies.
  • What are the accommodations like?
    Chalet Gloribel – Alpine Comfort in the Heart of Chamonix. Tucked away in a peaceful residential area just a 15-minute walk from the center of Chamonix, Chalet Gloribel offers the perfect blend of luxury, style, and mountain charm. This well-appointed five-bedroom chalet serves as a comfortable and scenic base for your adventure. Designed with modern mountain living in mind, Chalet Gloribel accommodates 8–10 guests in a spacious open-plan layout featuring stylish alpine décor, a fully equipped kitchen, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing stunning Mont Blanc views. After a day in the mountains, unwind in the outdoor hot tub, gather around the log fire, or enjoy entertainment amenities like a smart TV, Bose sound system, and high-speed Wi-Fi. With secure ski and bike storage, private parking, and a wraparound garden and terrace perfect for BBQs and sunbathing, Chalet Gloribel delivers a truly elevated Chamonix experience—serene, central, and unforgettable.
  • Can I choose my roommate?
    Yes. If you have a roommate request, please let us know. By default, we will place two people of the same gender in a room with two beds.
  • Can I book a private room?
    Yes, private rooms are available; however, please note that the chalet has a total of five bedrooms. Availability will depend on your group’s size and individual rooming configuration needs. To explore your options and make arrangements, feel free to contact us at [email protected].
  • What gear should I bring? Should I bring my own bike, or can I rent one?
    A recommended packing list will be sent to you after booking. Please note that bikes and riding gear are not included in this trip. You're welcome to bring your own bike, or you can choose to rent one locally. If you'd like to rent a bike for this trip, or if you're unsure whether your current bike is suitable, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] for more information.
  • Is there a minimum age required for this trip?
    If your group is private, the minimum age is 12. For mixed or open-group trips, age requirements may vary and will depend on the rider’s skill level and fitness to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
  • What is transportation like?
    To access the trails, LeRipp typically uses a mix of shuttle vans, local lift systems, and some pedaling. Since some rides cross borders into Italy and Switzerland, transport times can vary depending on the day’s destination—ranging anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes.
  • What will the weather be like?
    In August, Chamonix offers pleasant summer conditions ideal for outdoor activities. Daytime temperatures typically reach highs of around 18°C (64°F), while nighttime lows can drop to approximately 7°C (45°F). August provides ample sunshine, with approximately 14 hours of daylight, August in Chamonix is well-suited for activities like hiking, biking, and sightseeing.​ However, it's important to note that weather conditions can vary, especially at higher elevations. Mountainous areas may be cooler and subject to sudden changes.
  • Should I tip my guides?
    Yes, guide & driver gratuity is not included in your trip package and is recommended if you enjoyed your experience.
  • Should I purchase travel insurance?
    YES! While it is not required, we always recommend purchasing travel insurance for all trips. Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement if you are forced to cancel your trip for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to cover medical help, emergency transport, theft and/or accidental damage while traveling. We recommend World Nomads.
  • What if I need to change or cancel my trip?
    A non-refundable deposit of 30% is due upon booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to departure date and is non-refundable from this date. If you cancel more than 60 days before the trip's start date, your deposit is non-refundable. However, any additional payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded. Cancellations made 60 days or fewer before the trip's start date are non-refundable, and no portion of the trip cost will be returned.​ To cancel a confirmed trip, you must notify evoTrip in writing. The cancellation becomes effective once we receive your written confirmation.
