Cerro Catedral

Cerro Catedral is the largest lift-accessed ski area in South America, with nearly 3,000 acres of terrain, over 60 marked runs, and 1,070m (3,510 ft) of vertical to explore. The mountain spans high alpine bowls, long ridgeline cruisers, playful tree skiing, and natural gullies, with opportunities for lift-assisted backcountry when conditions allow. Snowfall averages over 6 meters (236 inches) per season in the upper zones, and the variety of aspects gives the mountain a dynamic feel day-to-day. Catedral is also one of the few South American resorts with a true base village, offering a welcoming atmosphere, mountain cafés, and easy access to on-snow adventure — all set against sweeping views of the granite spires that give the mountain its name and the deep blue waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi below. It’s a place where terrain, scenery, and mountain culture come together in a way that feels distinctly Patagonia.
