Arbor Coda Splitboard 2019
One of two men's splitboard options in Arbor's lineup, the Arbor Coda Splitboard uses a rockered, parabolic profiling for a reliable climb and more freestyle, slightly looser ride down the mountain compared to the Iguchi Pro. This versatile design is surfy and playful in the steep and deep and is backed by Arbor's top-dollar quality, premium Highland core and Karakoram inserts.

Rocker Type
The System Rocker – The Rocker System combines a progressive parabolic arc rocker profile with a tri-radial Grip Tech sidecut design. Enjoy more natural and cleaner tracking turns with a high performance surfy ride.
Flex
7 – 1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff
Shape
Grip Tech – A tri-radial sidecut design that is not "blended." Natural shaping intersections, that in the past were eliminated, have been transformed into heel and toe contact points that provide a direct, more ergonomic way to grip the snow when additional control is needed.
Thunderhead Tip – Big-mountain versatility and speed in the deepest snow.
Core
Highland Core – Arbor's most premium core, made from a blend of poplar and paulownia for super light weight performance, durability, and return.
Laminates
Mixed Glassing – A triax over biax lay-up that's best for versatility: pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps and more.
Carbon Uprights – Two carbon fiber uprights running from the tip and tail to just past the inserts. A setup that provides added landing durability and pop for bigger park and backcountry performance.
Sidewalls
360˚ Rails – Fully wrapped sidewall that eliminates the need for tip fill, while effectively tying the whole snowboard together. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability.
Base
Sintered Base – A higher molecular weight, sintered base that provides added durability and speed.
Topsheet
Bamboo Power Ply – The Power Ply works like an added layer of fiberglass. During construction, the natural wood or bamboo fibers are turned into a composite layer inside the board.

Splitboarding A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Rocker A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.

Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
