THE SOUL IS BACK

"This is my new favorite ski! I felt like every turn shape and turn i wanted to make was capable while feeling way more stable than the old Soul 7 ski! No chatter was felt while skiing and I will definitely have to add this to the quiver!"

Full Gas!

"For better or worse, Rossi's been building off the crowd-pleasing nature of the 'Soul' family for the better part of a decade now. The 2024 Sender Soul still has a bit of that original Soul 7's tip shape and overall aesthetic, but skis like a very different animal. Although I wasn't able to take it for a spin through softer snow, the mid-wide width felt ideal for softer days in freeride terrain, without forgetting about the highspeed aprons that inevitably follow. Snappy and responsive, yet damp and balanced at speed, the Sender Soul is a great choice for skiers that prioritize scouring the mountain for the most fun and interesting lines."

Awesome all mountain quiver killer

"The new Sender Soul felt a lot more alive and reactive the past generation of Sender. Was much more versatile and playful off piste ,while still having the edge hold and precision of a on trail carving ski."

Everything you want out of a fun but hard charging all mountain ski

"Overall I was really impressed with the new Rossignol Sender Soul ski! There's really nothing that is exceptionally new or mind-blowing with this modal and it doesn't blow me out of the water with any one thing it does. Now instead of doing one or two things amazingly well, it does just about everything pretty well. Rossignol has taken what already works well and just improved upon it. This is a ski that pretty much everyone can get on and enjoy, from an aspiring beginner/intermediate skier, all the way to and advanced/ expert skier. This ski is stiff where you want it to be stiff, and soft where you want it to be soft. In my opinion it is the perfect all mountain waste width, has the ability to make any turn shape you want it to and has just the right amount of rocker in the tip and tail. 10/10 would own and ski this ski as my daily driver"

A great one ski quiver

"The sender soul was impressive. Similar to the original soul 7, for a ski over 100mm wide, it makes any type of turn easy. Just a very responsive surfy ski that feels Intuitive right away. I did find it to be much better at holding an edge and feeling damp than the soul 7 was, especially at higher speeds."

The Soul 7 Reincarnate?!

"If you're like me and were devastated when Rossignol discontinued their beloved Super 7/Soul 7 lineup of skis, then this new Sender Soul series gives a healthy dose of the nostalgia we've been craving! With an on-snow feel that's eerily reminiscent of the Soul 7 HD, the Sender Soul 102 brings refreshing power and edge hold to a versatile 102mm waist width ski. More "locked in" when you're ripping hardpack or variable conditions than the Sender Frees, the Sender Soul 102 is the perfect hybrid child of last year's Sender 104 TI and the old Soul 7 HD. If you're looking for a powerful, damp, confidence inspiring ski for charging steep lines or just charging hard around the resort, this is it. Thanks for listening to the feedback Rossi!"

Great ski to do it all, intermediate to advanced skiers will love it.

"The sender soul was a super solid ski that help up well on pretty much everything on the mountain. This ski is not necessarily my forte by any means, i personally enjoy softer more playful skis but I really enjoyed this at high speeds on groomers and hard snow. It did really well in that aspect but what surprised me was its versatility on more variable terrain. Super forgiving in bumps and trees especially for how well it performed on hard snow. It was also very easy to ski, I didn't have to work very hard to get it to do what I wanted."

Pros

  • Stability and Control: Testers consistently noted the improved stability and control over previous models, especially in varied turn shapes and conditions. Dale Shafer mentioned, "I felt like every turn shape and turn I wanted to make was capable while feeling way more stable than the old Soul 7 ski!"

  • Versatility: The ski was praised for its versatility across different terrains and snow conditions. Jackson Tompkins highlighted its performance both off-piste and on trail, describing it as "versatile and playful."

  • Edge Hold and Responsiveness: Several reviews pointed out the excellent edge hold and responsiveness, particularly at high speeds. Tyler Lyons found it "much better at holding an edge and feeling damp than the Soul 7 was."

Cons

  • Not Overly Specialized: Nick Hazard felt that while the ski does everything pretty well, it doesn't excel in any one aspect dramatically. He described it as not "blowing me out of the water with any one thing it does."

  • Playfulness for Specific Tastes: Matt Knowles noted that the ski might not appeal to those who prefer softer, more playful skis, as it performs exceptionally well on hard snow and at high speeds.

Who Is It For?

The 2025 Rossignol Sender Soul 102 is ideally suited for advanced to expert skiers who demand a versatile and responsive ski that can handle a variety of terrains and snow conditions with ease. This ski is perfect for those who want to push their limits on the mountain, whether carving on groomers, exploring off-piste terrain, or charging through freeride zones.

Given its design to offer stability, responsiveness, and versatility, the Rossignol Sender Soul 102 excels in providing a balanced ride across different environments. It's particularly praised for its edge hold and dampness at high speeds, making it a reliable choice for skiers who enjoy aggressive descents. However, its balanced nature means it might not be the best fit for beginners or those who prefer a ski that specializes in specific conditions like deep powder or extremely icy surfaces. For advanced skiers looking for a "quiver killer" that offers performance across a broad spectrum of conditions, the Sender Soul 102 stands out as an excellent choice.

If you're after a ski that can do it all with confidence and flair, and you're not limited to one type of skiing, this might just be the ski for you. Conversely, if your skiing style demands highly specialized equipment for specific conditions like ultra-deep powder, you might want to explore additional options.
